SEQÜÊNCIA DIDÁTICA DE FOLHETOS DE PROPAGANDA EM INGLÊS:
FLYERS
Professora PDE: Elaine Regina Miquelão
Professora Orientadora IES / UEM: Carmen Ilma Belincanta Borghi
contextualizadas.
Segundo a UNESCO (www.wikipédia.org.

We can notice that most of the verbs used by the author on this flyer is in the
imperative form. It is on purpose, because we use this form to give orders,
instructions or ask favors. So the author´s objective is to tell you what you should do:
go to Hard Rock Café
Here we have some examples:
Do the exercise with a friend.
Write your name here.
To make sentences in the negative form, you use: don´t.
Ex: Don´t close your books.
Don´t go outside.
A) Now find in the text two sentences in the imperative form.

B) Do you agree that the sentences you wrote above give orders?

One very important thing I learnt
when I was travelling was to say the
word please when asking for
something: “close the door, please”,
“Open the window, please”… I had to
be careful not to sound imperative,
giving orders to everybody. Please is
a sign of good manners
