Votorantim Metais promotes the 2nd Client Meeting
with subject “Future Brazil”
The second edition of the event will be an opportunity to discuss about market
trends and outlooks for the metal sector
São Paulo, April 12, 2010 – Votorantim Metais promotes the second year of
the annual event for clients in Brazil and abroad on Tuesday (04/12) in São
Paulo, at the Unique hotel.
The event is a company-market relationship initiative and it will bring together all
the company leaders from Brazil and abroad. “One of the 2011 objectives is to
strengthen the relationship with our clients and find growth opportunities
together. We believe that Brasil do Futuro (Brazil of the Future) is quite
promising and with good perspectives for the metal consumption market”, states
João Bosco Silva, superintendent-director of the company.
In the event, issues such as the growth of the Brazilian economy, the current
scenario of the metal market within the country and all over the world and the
main infrastructure investments in Brazil which will be the venue for 2014 World
Cup and 2016 Olympics, will be dealt with. To talk about these issues, the
company has invited economist David Wilson, director of Commodities Societé
Génerale Corporate & Investment Banking, who will analyze the commodities
current market worldwide, journalist Ricardo Amorim who will talk about the
Brazilian economic market and Sérgio Eduardo Santos, managing director of
Votorantim Metais’ new businesses, who will present the details on the national
metal demand to the company.
“We want to prepare our clients for the civil infrastructure and construction
growth which will be generated by the large events that the Country will host,
which will be reflected in good business opportunities”, concluded Bosco.
Another highlight of the event will be the discussions about the best sustainable
practices in the Brazilian business scenario, with the presence of Gislaine
Rossetti, Basf corporate communication and sustainability director, Luiz Antonio
Rossi, ArcelorMittal Brazil institutional relations and communications managing
director, Armando Valle, Whirlpool Latin America institutional relations and
sustainability vice-president and Moises Falco, Promon Engenharia Knowledge
