You have just acquired the new TF TRI-COLOR machine, a high quality and affordable product that allows you to refill tri-color ink jet cartridges using one of the best refillng systems technology. For adequate operation of the machine, please read the instructions contained in this operation manual. Important! We strongly recommend you to always use original empty cartridges and ‘Ready2Fill’ inks, this way you extend cartridge lifetime and improve printing quality even after many recharges. Remanufactured cartridges may contain traces of bad quality ink, clogging the printhead and causing troubles on the refilling process. In case the cartridge have its printhead clogged, unclogging procedures are recommended before starting refilling process with this machine. P.S.: This Manual guide is frequently updated. Instructions Attention This machine was developed exclusively for professional use. If you are not an ink cartridge remanufacturer or you are using this machine to refill your own cartridges, you must know that the provided ink is high density dye based. In case of leaks or ink spilling, we are not responsible for ink stains on woven, materials such as clothes, carpets, furniture like tables, chairs, shelfs, etc. Ink removal is extremely difficult, so be careful when handling the machine, and preferably use it always on appropriate place, if possible with latex gloves. In case of contact with eyes, wash abundantly with water and request medical assistance. 4 User’s Guide Instructions ● About the Equipment Vaccum button for ink cartridge drain routine. Preparing the Machine Ink Cap and hoses Installation ● 1 - (A) Remove the security cap. (B) Install the ink collector cap. (C) Connect the provided hose for each color refill ink. Please refer to the colors as shown on the label located in the rear side of the machine. Vaccum hose(fixed) Empty flask for residual ink(waste) 3 - Connect the “Vaccum” hose to the provided empty flask 4 - Connect the other 4 hoses to the machine’s front connectors. User’s Guide 7 3. Turning the Machine On ● Power Supply 1 - Plug the power cable. 2 - Turn on the power switch. 3 - Check if “POWER LED” is ON on the control panel. Removing the Air out of the System 1- To avoid ink from leaking in this process, fit the 3 needles in the provided sponge. 2- Check if Power Switch is ON and also control panel “POWER ON” led. 3- Make sure the “Blue Switch” is upwards and “READY TO FILL” Led on the control panel is ON 4- Press “NV” button on the control panel (inks will start flowing through the hoses). Press the same button repeatedly until the inks reaches the needles. ● Ready To Fill Congratulations! Your Readytofill TF TriColor machine is ready to start refilling cartridges. User’s Guide 9 5. Cartridge Preparation Before refilling cartridges, you must be sure that they are completly empty and unclogged. Unclogging procedures(consider using of ultrasound machine) is recommended in order to get better recycling quality results. Emptying Cartridges Routine ● 1. Check if waste flask is installed. 2. Insert the cartridge in the adaptor. 3. Connect the adaptor to the hose connected to the “Vaccum” as illustrated. 4. Make sure “Blue Switch” is upwards. 5. Press “V” button on the control panel. The machine will suck the remaining ink from the cartridge through its printhead for about 30 seconds. Press “V” button again just to make sure the cartridge will be empty after this 60s procedure. If you see no ink flowing from the cartridge through the hose that means the cartridge is clogged or it was totally empty before this procedure. If the cartridge is empty and unclogged you may resume to the refilling process. 10 User’s Guide 6. Bellow, you will find cross reference table for cartridges and needles sizes: Short Needle HP 22, 28, 57, 75, 93, 95 and similars Lex 26 and 27 Medium Needle HP 25 and 49 Lex 17G, 60, 80 and 120 Long Needle HP 17, 23, 41 and 78 2- Inset the cartridge in the adapter. 3- Make sure adapter is connected to the machine’s Vacuum frontal hose. 4- Insert the needles vertically deep inside the cartridge sponges and Pull Up the “Blue Switch”. Attention Be carefull to insert the needles in the correct sponge color, otherwise you will mix the colors and damage the cartridge.(see page 11) 12 User’s Guide Refilling process Understanding the Refilling Process and Buttons Function In the inkjet cartridge market you will find many different cartridge types with variable ink capacities ranging from 5 to 30 ml. The TF TriColor machine has 6 different programs which can be activated by pressing the Control Panel buttons depending on the cartridge type or operation. See the following cross reference table to help finding the correct button that must be activated: Cross Reference Table Button Function / Cartridge Types Aproximatly 1ml of each color ink is pumped. (Used to take the air out of the hoses by filling it with ink(page 9) and/or when operator wants to add ink into the cartridge after refilling). Automatic refilling for cartridge HP models 22 / 28 / 60 / 75 / 93 / 95 and Lex model 27. Automatic refilling for cartridge HP models 57 / 60XL / 75XL and Lex model 26. Automatic refilling for cartridge HP models 25 / 49 and Lex models 60 / 80 / 15M / 17G. Automatic refilling for cartridge HP models 17 / 23 / 41 / 78. Vacuum activation1 and/or Emergency Stop2 1. It is used to drain the cartridge ink from its printhead(needs adaptor). 2. Immeadiatly cuts the power source of the color ink pumps causing the reffiling process to stop. Blue Switch Downward position: Machine will not respond to any commands. Upward position: Machine is ready to go. When changed from up to downward position: Self-cleaning is activated pumping the 3 inks and vacuum to the refills direction(automatic stop). User’s Guide 13 Refilling process 5- Press the “automatic refill button” that corresponds to the cartridge being refilled(see page 13). Wait until “Cartridge Ready” LED is blinking. Example 2 Example 1 HP25 LEX27 6- Remove immediately the cartridge from the adaptor. Then, remove the needles. 7- Perform the 3 colors text using an absorbing paper. 8- To refill another cartridge, please follow steps 1 to 7 again. Do NOT press down the “Blue Switch”, otherwise machine will perform “Self-Cleaning” and you’ll have to “remove air from system” again(see page 9). ● Self-Cleaning The “Blue Switch”, when pressed downwards, activates Self-Cleaning function. It pumps the inks inside the hoses to the flasks direction. It is recommended only when you need to transport the machine or wash inside the hoses otherwise we recommend you to keep the inks inside the hoses until next refilling process even if you want to turn off the machine to continue work the next day. 14 User’s Guide 8- Refilling Tips 1 -Procure recarregar o seu cartucho assim que perceber que a tinta está acabando. Nunca deixe o cartucho vazio por tempo prolongado para que a tinta não resseque e obstrua os microejetores, localizados na cabeça de impressão, prejudicando a qualidade de impressão e dependendo do grau de obstrução, impossibilita sua recarga. Lembre-se, quanto antes for feita a recarga, menor será a perda de qualidade de impressão do cartucho. 2 -Muito cuidado com o manuseio do compartimento de tinta. Em caso de acidente, não será possível retirar tinta da roupa, do carpete, etc. Evite contato com os olhos, caso isso ocorra, lave com bastante água. Ao persistir algum incomodo procure um médico. 3 -Antes de recarregar seu cartucho, recomendamos a limpeza da cabeça de impressão utilizando aparelho de ultrassom por 30 segundos ou, na falta desse equipamento, um papel absorvente umedecido com água para diluir e retirar o excesso de tinta ressecada que se encontra depositada. Jamais utilize qualquer tipo de produto químico como álcool, acetona, etc. 4 -Após a recarga do cartucho e antes de colocá-lo na impressora, retire o excesso de tinta da cabeça e faça o teste das 3 cores no papel absorvente. Limpe os contatos elétricos com um papel absorvente umedecido com água. Os contatos elétricos são responsáveis pela comunicação entre a impressora e o cartucho, caso estejam sujos a impressora poderá rejeitá-lo acusando problema no mesmo. 5 -Se durante o teste das 3 cores o cartucho apresente falta de uma delas, recoloque-o no adaptador e pressione o botão de “Vácuo”, deixe a máquina puxar a tinta durante 3 segundos, retire o cartucho do adaptador e faça o teste novamente, caso o problema persista você provavelmente tem em mãos um cartucho em condições impróprias para recarga. 6 -Cuidado ao manusear seu cartucho durante o processo de recarga desde sua retirada da impressora até seu retorno. Quedas e batidas, mesmo quando leves, podem danificar a parte elétrica, inutilizando o cartucho. 7 -Caso deseje esvaziar um cartucho ou certificar-se que o mesmo esteja vazio antes da recarga, encaixe o cartucho no respectivo adaptador pressione o botão de “Vácuo” repetidas vezes. 8 -Após feita a recarga, retire o cartucho do adaptador imediatamente, a demora em fazê-lo pode acarretar em contaminação entre as cores das esponjas através da cabeça de impressão do cartucho. 9 -Consulte periodicamente as “Dicas Para Recarga” disponivel para download na página de demonstração em nosso site ou acesse: www.tintafacil.com.br/dicas_TFcolor.pdf User’s Guide 15 9- Resumo de Operações Problema LED “Aceso” encontrase apagado. Possível Causa Solução Não há entrada de energia Verifique se o cabo elétrico no aparelho. está ligado. Energia insufuciente. Certifique-se que a tomada de energia está funcionando normalmente. ● ● ● ● LED “Em Processamento” apagado. Botão de recarga não foi devidamente pressionado ou a “Chave Branca” está abaixada. Tente pressionar novamente o botão de recarga ou vácuo. Certifique-se que a “Chave Branca” esteja levantada. Vazamento pelo orifício de entrada de tinta. Cartucho não estava totalmente vazio antes da recarga ou foi pressionado o botão de recarga incorreto. Com o cartucho devidamente inserido, pressione o botão de “Vácuo” para esvaziar o cartucho. Cabeça de impressão do car- Tente esvaziar o cartucho No “teste das 3 cores” há ausência de 1 ou mais tucho entupida ou danificada. por completo e repita a cores no papel de teste. operação de recarga. 16 Impressora acusa problema no cartucho.
