common strategy, based on community
requirements, shared principles and values
Enquadramento
• O serviço na nuvem (tradução de cloud computing) é um
conceito emergente, que promete gerar economias de
recursos e incrementar os níveis de flexibilidade e
escalabilidade dos serviços informáticos.
• Este paradigma encerra também riscos e desafios importantes
a nível jurídico, técnico e financeiro, como sejam a perda de
controlo e confidencialidade dos dados ou serviços, a
dificuldade de migração do serviço entre vários operadores vendor lockin - ou, ainda, a alteração de modelo de imputação
dos custos associados a estes serviços.
• Esta sessão tem por objetivos promover e facilitar a discussão
destas matérias na comunidade RCTS, discussão essa já
iniciada em edições anteriores das Jornadas FCCN e no
Encontro de Centros de Informáticos realizado em 13 de
Novembro de 2012, na FCT - UNL.

sustainable future

• consuming the public cloud:
– aggregating demand,
– vendor management and
– cloud brokering;
• producing community clouds: business cases;
• connecting the clouds, by means of
collaboration infrastructures and federations;
• legal issues (on EU level), standardisation,
and interoperability.

The primary goal … is to
• identify and describe the needs of the
community,
• relate these to the capabilities of the market and
community, and
• recommend a cloud strategy, which can be used
by GÉANT and NRENs.
Conclusões
• Acompanhamos os desenvolvimentos Europeus e nacionais,
com especial atenção a oportunidades e sinergias
• Procuramos Feedback: Temos os canais abertos à
comunidade de utilizadores / instituições, com o sentido em
colaborar numa definição estratégica GN3+/SA7 que seja útil
à comunidade
