I, the undersigned, certify that/Eu, abaixo assinado, certifico que:
a)
the United Kingdom is free from foot and mouth disease, rinderpest, contagious bovine
pleuropneumonia and Rift Valley fever in accordance with the recommendations of the OIE
Terrestrial Animal Health Code, and that, for the 12 months preceding the collection of
the embryos to be exported to Brazil there were no occurrences of vesicular stomatitis,
nor lumpy skin disease, in accordance with OIE standards, nor of trypanosomiasis;
o Reino Unido é livre de febre aftosa, peste bovina, pleuropneumonia bovina contagiosa e
febre do Vale do Rift de acordo com as recomendações do Código Sanitário dos Animais
Terrestres da OIE, e que nos 12 meses anteriores à coleta dos embriões a serem
exportados para o Brasil, não houve ocorrência de estomatite vesicular nem de dermatose
nodular contagiosa de acordo com os padrões da OIE nem de tripanosomiase;
b)
the donor female was born in the United Kingdom or had been continuously resident in the
United Kingdom for the six months preceding collection of the embryos;
a fêmea doadora nasceu no Reino Unido ou residiu continuamente no Reino Unido durante os
seis meses anteriores à colheita dos embriões;
c)
the donor bull was clinically healthy at the time of collection of semen used for
fertilisation;
o touro doador esteve clinicamente saudável por ocasião da colheita do sêmen utilizado
na fecundação;
d)
BSE is notifiable in the United Kingdom;

e)
the United Kingdom has a BSE surveillance and monitoring program that meets the
standards of the OIE;
no Reino Unido existe um programa de vigilância e monitoramento da EEB que cumpre as
normas da OIE;
f)
the feeding of ruminant derived proteins, other than milk, to ruminant animals is
prohibited in the United Kingdom;
no Reino Unido é proibido alimentar ruminantes con proteínas derivadas dos mesmos

g)
the United Kingdom has in place an official identification system for cattle;

h)
the donor female was inspected on the day of collection and found to be free of evidence
of infectious or contagious disease;

the farm of origin of the donor animal is officially free of brucellosis and
tuberculosis according to the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code;

k)
the embryos to be exported were conceived as the result of artificial insemination of
the donor female with semen collected at a semen collection centre from donor bulls
which have been confirmed to be free from brucellosis, tuberculosis, enzootic bovine
leucosis, trichomoniasis, campylobacteriosis, bovine virus diarrhea and infectious
bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) in accordance with Directive 88/407/EEC;

the embryos for export to Brazil were collected and processed by the embryo collection
team identified above which:

(i)
carried out the collection, processing, storage and transport of the embryos in
accordance with procedures endorsed by the International Embryo Transfer
Society (IETS) and Office International des Epizooties (OIE);
realizou a colheita, o processamento, a armazenagem e o transporte dos embriões
de acordo com os procedimentos endossados pela Sociedade Internacional de
Transferência de Embriões (IETS) e da OIE (Office International des
Epizooties);
(ii)
is subject to at least an annual inspection by an Official Veterinarian;
está sujeita a um mínimo de uma inspeção por ano pelo veterinário oficial;
m)
the embryos were washed, in groups of 10 or fewer, through ten changes of media. A fresh
sterile micropipette was used to transfer the embryos between washes and each wash
constituted at least a hundred fold dilution of the previous wash. The embryos were
gently agitated in each of the washes and only embryos from the same donor were washed
together. In addition, the embryos were subjected to trypsin treatment in accordance
with the procedures manual of the International Embryo Transfer Society;

the embryos were examined over their entire surface under a microscope at a minimum of
50 x magnification to ensure that the zona pellucida was intact and free of any adherent
material prior to sexing, micromanipulation or freezing;

mínima de 50 x para assegurar que a zona pelúcida estava intacta e livre de qualquer
