General
Encourage the development of the entrepreneurial spirit of students, essential to the development of economy and society.
Understand the basic legal framework for trade or business, identifying the legal rights and duties relating to the carrying on of
business and enterprise in the national economy, European and global levels;
Master in negotiating corporate relations, modern procedures for business and titration of credits, as well as their formalities.
Specific
Know, with rigor, the legal obligations of the "merchant" / company;
Distinguish between individual and collective enterprises, with regard to its substrate and have the legal recognition of the political,
social and economic rights of partners, as well their responsibility for the social obligations;

Commercial Law - concepts, sources and historical development
Commercial Law as an autonomous branch of the Portuguese Civil Code (a special private right in the Portuguese juridical order)

The concept of "commercial acts"
Classification of commercial acts
The special juridical regime of commercial acts
III THE PARTIES IN JURIDICAL/COMMERCIAL RELATIONS
Sole traders
Limited Liability Companies (EIRL) and their legal framework: short notes
Corporate personhood
Special obligations of the "merchant"
IV COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENT AND ITS DISTINTICTIV SIGNS
Concept and elements of the establishment
Logo, trademarks, patents and other rights under the intellectual property

VI TRADE DEBTS / TRADE PAYABLES

Theoretical lessons, with development of the contents exposed;
Active and interrogative methods, based on students socio-educational background and aimed at developping debating skills;
