Method and equipment for the automatic inspection of flat materials (sheets)
the ultrasonic signals propagation technology along the
surface in analysis, allowing the detection of defaults
present on the surface and in the interior, through the
signs processing, analysing the amplitude variation of
the received signals.
The system was particularly developed for the analysis of ceramic materials, under the form of floor tiles or
wall tiles, but may be adapted to any material that has
the previously mentioned characteristics.

The present invention refers to a method and
automatic inspection equipment of flat materials
(boards), with a regular shape, homogeneous structure,
low thickness and flat surface, as long as the material
allows the propagation of ultrasonic signals.
The invention allows characterising in real time the
product or material to be inspected, by its implementation
in a productive line without changing the previous
processing times. The inspection procedure is based on
