This document has been set up as a symbol of our inclusion policy. An Droichead
wish to welcome you in your own language, and give a brief overview of our
organisation. This is a work in progress, and we will be constantly adding to it.

Overview
An Droichead is situated along the Ormeau Road; an area recognised for its cultural
diversity coining the unofficial term of Belfast’s “Cultural Quarter”. The
organizations primary focus is the provision of Irish language and culture.
An Droichead has an extremely strong outreach policy and is wholly inclusive in all
aspects of its arts, language and cultural activities.
A warm welcome is guaranteed to all.
Facilities
Lárionad an Droichid is a modern, multi-award winning, purpose built, cultural
centre boasting a state of the Art music and arts venue, exhibition space and
community facility. The centre has full disabled access with the addition of secure
parking.
The centre shares the grounds with our sister project Scoil an Droichid providing
Irish Medium education for 150 children at nursery, pre-school and primary levels.
Events and services
In addition to the provision of Irish language classes from beginner to advanced
levels, we are widely recognised as one of Ireland’s premier Traditional, Roots and
World music venues. During August our annual festival brings together many
influences and cultures obtained throughout the year over a four day period
celebrating music, cuisine and culture.
We regularly host art and craft exhibitions, lectures, and workshops in traditional
arts and crafts. The workshops cover diverse traditional skills such as bog oak
carving, basket making, pottery, Celtic art, Celtic jewellery making, singing, dance
and traditional music skills.
An Droichead actively promotes cultural diversity and we are constantly seeking to
expand our audience and cross cultural partnerships. If you would like to attend any of

kulturowej, dzięki której nosi on nieoficjalną nazwę ,,dzielnicy kulturalnej” Belfastu.
Działalność organizacji skupia się głównie na propagowaniu języka i kultury
irlandzkiej.
An Droichead oferuje wiele zajęć artystycznych, językowych i kulturalnych dla
bardzo szerokiego grona zainteresowanych.

Lárionad an Droichid to specjalnie zaprojektowane, nowoczesne i wielokrotnie
nagradzane centrum kultury – miejsce koncertów, wystaw, imprez artystycznych i
zajęć kulturalnych. Centrum przystosowane jest do potrzeb osób
niepełnosprawnych oraz posiada strzeżony parking.
Centrum sąsiaduje ze szkołą Scoil an Droichid, zapewniającą naukę w języku
irlandzkim 150 dzieciom na poziomie przedszkola i szkoły podstawowej.
Imprezy i zajęcia
Centrum oferuje nie tylko zajęcia z języka irlandzkiego od poziomu początkującego
po zaawansowany, ale cieszy się również znakomitą renomą jako jeden z głównych
irlandzkich ośrodków muzyki tradycyjnej, muzyki korzeni i muzyki świata.
Odbywający się tu co roku w sierpniu czterodniowy festiwal muzyki, kulinariów
oraz kultury zbliża do siebie ludzi z różnych kultur i tradycji, z którymi spotykamy
się na co dzień.
W centrum odbywają się regularnie wystawy sztuki i rzemiosła, odczyty oraz
tradycyjne warsztaty artystyczne i rękodzielnicze. Warsztaty te uczą różnorodnych
tradycyjnych umiejętności, takich jak rzeźba w czarnym dębie, wyplatanie
koszyków, garncarstwo, sztuka celtycka, wyrób biżuterii celtyckiej, śpiew, taniec
oraz muzyka tradycyjna.
An Droichead aktywnie propaguje różnorodność kulturową oraz stara się zawsze
poszerzać grono swoich odbiorców i nawiązywać szerszą współpracę

Resumo
O Centro An Droichead está situado ao longo da Ormeau Road; uma área bastante
conhecida pela sua diversidade cultural que também é conhecida popularmente
em Belfast de o "Quarteirao Cultural". A organização tem como objetivo principal
fornecer e divulgar a língua e a cultura Irlandesa. O An Drochead tem um forte
programa de ação que abrange exclusivamente todos os aspectos da arte, da
língua e suas atividades culturais.

Facilidades
Lárionad an Droichid é um centro cultural moderno, cujo prédio foi especialmente
construído com a finalidade de expandir e divulgar a arte, música e eventos
artísticos para a comunidade. O centro está equipado para pessoas com
dificuldade de locomoção, como também oferece um estacionamento seguro. O
centro divide o espaço com um outro projeto irmão ‘Scoil an Droichid’ que é uma
escola que fornece educação primária através da língua Irlandesa para 150
crianças, desde o maternal até o ensino médio.
Eventos e servicos
Além de fornecer classes na língua Irlandesa para iniciantes até o avançado, o
centro é bastante conhecido como um dos principais centro de tradição, de raízes
e de diversidades musical do mundo. Durante o mês de agosto nós temos uma
celebração anual que dura mais de quatro dias, onde celebramos diferentes
influências da nossa diversidade musical, cultural e culinária obtida durante o ano.
Regularmente nos temos exibições artísticas, palestras e também oficinas de arte
e artesanatos tradicional da cultura Irlandesa. As oficinas abrangem diversas
habilidades tradicionais, tais como fabricação de cesta, cerâmica, arte céltica,
esculpir madeira (bog oak), joalheria céltica, como também música, dança
e prática em tocar musica tradicional da terra
