Curiosity!
• Conheça a história das palavras: “between” e “among”:
“Between” vem da união de duas palavras anglo-saxônicas (a língua
que deu origem à língua inglesa): “be” (by) e “tweonum” (plural of
one = two). Ou seja, “between” era antes uma expressão que
significava “por dois”, “através de dois”. Ao longo dos anos, por
causa da pronúncia, “betweonum” virou “between”.
“among” vem de uma expressão anglo-saxônica “on gemang” (em
uma multidão, no meio de vários). Com o tempo o “ge” de “gemang”
deixou de ser usado se tornando apenas “on mang”, depois
“onmong”, “amang” e finalmente “among”.

(Jogo de cartas - Preposições)
Monte o jogo!
Esse jogo é composto por:
4 cartas base (AT/ ON/ IN/ NO PREPOSITION) as quais servem como chave
para completar as cartas de jogada.
52 cartas de jogada (sentences to match), sendo 13 cartas referentes à
cada uma das cartas base:
13 referentes ao uso de AT
13 referentes ao uso de IN
13 referentes ao uso de ON
13 sem preposição (NO PREPOSITION)

Instruções do jogo:
O professor divide a turma em grupos de 4 alunos.
Cada grupo recebe um jogo Preposition Cards Game.
As cartas base são embaralhadas e distribuídas entre os participantes. Cada aluno
fica com uma carta base (eles não podem revelar para o grupo qual é a sua carta).
As 52 cartas de jogada são embaralhadas e distribuídas entre os participantes do
grupo. Cada um recebe 13 cartas aleatoriamente.
Os participantes analisam se as frases são completadas pela preposição da carta
base deles e as que não forem eles terão que descartar.
As cartas descartadas poderão ser pegas por outro participante, até que um dos
participantes consiga as 13 cartas que são completadas com a preposição de sua
carta base.
O jogo começa com um sorteio com o nome dos jogadores, o nome sorteado dá
início, descartando uma carta, depois qualquer outro componente pode pegar a
carta se ela for referente a sua carta base e em seguida descarta uma das cartas de
jogada que não for válida para sua carta base para que outro componente do
grupo possa pegá-la e assim sucessivamente, até que um dos jogadores complete
as 13 cartas que são relacionadas com sua carta base. O jogador que conseguir
reunir as 13 cartas primeiro, será o vencedor.

Dicas para confeccionar o jogo
• Imprimir as cartas bases, em folhas de ofício e depois colar em cartolina (de
cores iguais) ou imprimir diretamente em papel cartão.
• Recortar em tamanhos simétricos do tamanho de uma carta de baralho e
plastificar.
• Imprimir as 52 frases em papel ofício e depois colar em cartolina (de cores
iguais) ou imprimir diretamente em papel cartão.
• Recortar em tamanhos simétricos do tamanho de uma carta de baralho e
plastificar.
• A cor do papel das cartas base, deve ser diferente da cor do papel das cartas de
jogada. Por exemplo, se as cartas base forem impressas em papel ou cartolina
rosa, as cartas de jogada devem ser impressas em papel ou cartolina azul.
