MATERIAL INFORMATION
In the terms of the Portuguese Securities Code, Martifer SGPS SA (Martifer)
announces the following:
The Ventinteste consortium, of which Martifer is part, received notice from
the Department of Energy (Direcção Geral de Energia e Geologia) of the
Ministry of Economy (Ministério da Economia e Inovação) that it was
awarded the phase B of the tender for granting of licences for wind power
of 400 MW, launched by the Portuguese Government.
The report presented by the Jury is subject to the hearing of the interested
parties, and after that, the power will be awarded by the DGEG, in the
terms of the tender.
Besides Martifer, with a stake of 33%, the consortium is formed by Galp
Energia with a stake of 34%, Portuguese renewable energy company Enersis
with 30%, Efacec, a Portuguese maker of electrical components, with 2% and
Repower Systems, one of the world largest turbine makers in which Martifer
owns a stake of 23,08%, with 1%.
