RELEASE OF IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
MOTA-ENGIL announces award of work of rehabilitation of the bay of Luanda in Angola
MOTA-ENGIL ENGENHARIA, in a 50/50 partnership with Soares da Costa, signed today a flagship
project contract for the rehabilitation of the Bay of Luanda.
The new contract, with a total estimated price of around 130 million dollars, will run for a period
of 24 months and shall include construction works, namely:
•
the extension of Avenida Marginal and Largo on September 17, with the creation of
6 lanes, and infrastructure management and maintenance of the road network to be
implemented;
•
the construction of new parks for adequate parking for 1,600 cars in the Avenida
Marginal;
•
the construction of public spaces and free entertainment and green areas;
•
the construction of a new lane for public transport.
The work, sponsored by the Sociedade Baía de Luanda, is part of a larger project of
rehabilitation and redevelopment of the area of the Bay of Luanda, in Angola.
