ENERGY LOCALIZATION AND BREATHER TRAPPING IN ONE DIMENSIONAL MODELS Hernán Cortez Gutiérrez 1, Elso Drigo Filho 1 , José Roberto Ruggiero 1, Jesus Cuevas Maraver 2 1 Departamento Física -Universidade Estadual Paulista ,São José Rio Preto, Brasil, [email protected] 2 Departamento Física no Lineal-Universidade Sevilla, Sevilla, Espanha,[email protected] Abstract: The existence and the stability of nonlinear localized (breathers) and the breather trapping are investigated in two classes of one dimensional model, the Peyrard-Bishop (PB) model for DNA and the Symmetric Peyrard-Bishop model (SPB). Also we analyze the influence of an impurity (depth of the potential) in the evolution of moving discrete breathers in these models. We can observe the trapping, excitation and the barrier regime of the breather mobile using numerical energy density and center of energy evolution. Also is useful the trapping hypothesis for the comparison with the simulations. The breather trapping and the localization of energy can help to understand the existence the phase transitions.
