PROGRAMA DE ACELERAÇÃO DO CRESCIMENTO DAS CIDADES HISTÓRICAS, RECIFE
This program was released by Brazilian Federal Government in 2013. In Recife, there are seven
actions in development, which includes project elaboration and restoration works for public
spaces and buildings. My role in the program is to coordinate all the actions in the city of Recife
listed below and also to supervise two restoration works under development: at the Igreja de
Nossa Senhora da Conceição dos Militares and at Igreja de São Pedro dos Clérigos.

The restoration of the Church was developed
as a Building Crafts Apprentices Course,
that trained inhabitants of the local
community at the traditional crafts of
restoration activities. My role in the project
was coordinator of the course.

ACTIVITIES LOCATION
In 2006 a Master Plan was elaborated by the
Centro de Estudos Avançados da Conservação
Integrada (CECI) for the Franciscan Convent
of Olinda. As a result of this plan, several
restoration works were developed at the
Convent from 2008 to 2013. My role at those
works were assistant architect (2008-2009)
and coordinator (2009-2013).
This project was presented in a Poster at the
Latin American Chapter at the APT Conference
Charleston 2012.

Development of a morphological study of the
Palace, its annexes buildings and the garden
from its origin to those days and definition of
guidelines to the elaboration of the project and
the necessary actions to the complex
conservation.
