The Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CDRSP) is a Research
Centre hosted by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. Its stated mission is to contribute to
the advancement of science and technology leading to more suitable, effective and
efficient products, materials and processes, aiming at generating added-value for the
industry, as well promoting awareness in society of the role and importance of rapid and
sustainable product development. To fulfill this mission the Centre carries out
technological research, providing consulting, training and research services in the
strategic areas of rapid and sustainable product development.
CDRSP, established in May 2007, is supported by the Portuguese Foundation for
Science and Technology. In the field of Mechanical Engineering.
