Localizado a cerca de 3km dos centros históricos das cidades
do Recife e de Olinda, a menos de 12km da praia de Boa
Viagem, dos principais hotéis e do Aeroporto Internacional do
Recife/Guararapes – Gilberto Freyre, o Centro de Convenções
de Pernambuco - CECON é um dos mais importantes espaços
para realização de eventos do País. A área total do CECON
é de aproximadamente 240 mil m², com uma imponente
arquitetura, é composto de pavilhão de feiras, áreas
de exposições, teatros, auditórios, salas para reuniões,
depósitos e amplo estacionamento, oferecendo todo o apoio
para realização simultânea de eventos.
A cada semana o CECON recebe milhares de visitantes,
sendo conhecido por abrigar famosos espetáculos, feiras e
congressos.
Curiosidade: Suas salas, auditórios e teatros homenageiam
municípios e fatos pernambucanos como reconhecimento ao
Estado Leão do Norte.
Convention Center Pernambuco
Being situated about 3km (1.9 mi) from the historic centers of Recife
and Olinda, less than 12km (7 mi) from the beach of Boa Viagem, major
hotels and the International Airport of Recife Guararapes - Gilberto Freyre,
the Pernambuco Convention Center - CECON is one of the most important
places for events in the country. With an impressive architecture, it is built
up of a fair hall, exhibition areas, theaters, auditoriums, meeting rooms,
warehouses and a large parking lot offering full support for different events
at once.
The total area of the
​​ Cecon is approximately 240,000 sqm (287,000 sq yd).
Every week the Convention Center receives thousands of visitors and it is
known for hosting famous shows, fairs and conferences. With commitment,
recognition and in honor of the “Leão do Norte” State (Lion of the North), the
center expresses historical facts and the Pernambuco municipalities even in
their rooms and theaters,.

World Cultural Heritage, First Brazilian Capital of Culture, Ecological City. Despite these titles, granted by UNESCO,
nothing represents the city better but Duarte Coelho’s phrase: “What a beautiful place to build a village”. Tradition
and culture emanate from the ancient capital of Pernambuco. The importance of the architectural complex that forms
its Historic Site was officially recognized in 1982, when UNESCO granted the title of World Cultural Heritage to the city.

Patrimônio Cultural da Humanidade, Primeira Capital Brasileira da Cultura,

A antiga capital de Pernambuco emana tradição e cultura. A importância

oficialmente em 1982, quando a Unesco concedeu o título de Patrimônio

atrás dos bonecos gigantes, clubes, blocos, troças e maracatus.
