ESTÚDIO ZORAVIA BETTIOL 1) RESUME Zoravia Bettiol is an artist who works with graphic arts, textile art, painting, jewelry design, surface pattern design, murals, art installations, and performances. She was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1935. After living during 15 years in São Paulo and in San Francisco (USA), she returned to Porto Alegre in 2000. Zoravia participated in 135 individual exhibitions between 1959 and 2015, in South America, Europe, the United States and Japan. Her most important individual exhibition was Zoravia Bettiol, The Simplest Complexity, in commemoration of her fifty years dedicated to the fine arts and the presentation of the homonymous book about her art work, both in the Art Museum of Rio Grande do Sul Ado Malagoli, Porto Alegre, in 2007. 2) EDUCATION (selected) 2011 Shibori Course – Daniela Adams.
