Douro valley, world heritage by UNESCO, the scenery is unique: terraced slopes covered
with vineyards; green in summer and fiery red in winter, where grapes used in famous Oporto wine are
grown; old wine-producing farms where you can stop, visit and taste a glass of the delicious nectar; a boat
trip on the Douro River

ITINERARY
1st Day
Porto – Pinhão

Breakfast at the Hotel. Transfer to Hotel CS Vintage . On the way stop in Vila Real for lunch in a local
Manor House. After lunch Visit to Solar de Mateus (Built during the first half quarter of the XVIII century,
replacing the former house , has been classified National Monument and is considered one of the most
important works of the Portuguese baroque architecture) . After the visit trip will continue to Pinhão.
You are now in Douro Valley, world heritage site by UNESCO, the region of wine-growing where the famous port wine
is produced. A wine known worldwide for its taste. The region was the first one in the world to be classified as a wine
region.

2nd Day
Pinhão

Breakfast at the Hotel. This day you will be visiting local farms and wineries. On the first one a
traditional local farm lunch will also be served. After lunch the visit will be to the well known Quinta da
Pacheca (one of the best known estates in the Douro region, In a document dated April 1738 Quinta da
Pacheca is already mentioned) . Here you will have a taste of some of their wines. Return to your Hotel in
Pinhão
3rd Day
Pinhão

Breakfast at the Hotel. Today you will travel to Côa Valley , to see some Paleolithic drawings and
paintings ,
classified World Heritage by UNESCO,
a core of important archaeological Upper
Paleolithic cave paintings. Lunch at Quinta de Ervamoira. After lunch visit to the local Museum. Return to
your hotel in Pinhão.
4th Day
Pinhão / Monção / Ponte de Lima

Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you will head to the Minho region. On the way we will stop at
Quinta da Aveleda for lunch. After lunch the trip will continue to Solar Paço de Calheiros in Ponte de
Lima. Check in and overnight.
Today you find yourself in the so called Green Region: Minho ! a region characterized by green fields, villages built
out of granite, beautiful manor houses, the wealth of cuisine and vibrant traditions, very typical festivities and last but
not the least is also considered as a wine region producing a unique wine in the world : Vinho Verde,
5th Day
Ponte de Lima

Breakfast at the Hotel. Today the visits will be to local producers of Vinho Verde. A visit to Palácio da
Brejoeira (Built in the early years of the XX century, is considered National Monument and is an Ex-libris
of the). Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch return to your hotel in Ponte de Lima.
6th Day
Ponte de Lima - Porto
Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning back to Oporto. Panoramic city tour of the city. The tryp will end
with a lunch by the river at the picturesque quarter of “Ribeira”
End of Trip !
