OBJETIVO DA DISCIPLINA: Dotar o aluno do conhecimento necessário à
interpretação das manifestações literárias na Inglaterra.
EMENTA: Análise dos diferentes gêneros literários de autores britânicos. Crítica das
diversas formas e estilos. A poesia anglo-saxã: Beowulf. Geoffrey Chaucer e The
Canterbury Tales. A Era Elisabetana. A poesia metafísica. John Milton e Paradise
Lost. A poesia neoclássica. A ascensão do romance inglês. O romance gótico. O
Romantismo na prosa e na poesia. A Era vitoriana.
