The biggest party in the world is here! Welcome to Rio de Janeiro Carnival where you can have fun either in a street
party or in the Sambódromo parade. Save energy to enjoy the beach and take a tour during the day and make your
visit to Rio memorable.

How does it works?
Each samba school presents a theme which all the costumes, song, lyric, allegoric cars and performance should be
related with. A group of judges will evaluate each category and give notes. The winners will be back to the Marquês
de Sapucaí – Sambódromo on the next Saturday to end the Carnival in Rio.
Packages
SAMBÓDROMO VIP – BOX
Carnival decoration, air conditioning, freezer, TV, seats and soft window-sill, carpet, complete buffet (including
dinner, drinks and dessert) during the whole night, international open bar (mineral water, soft drinks and drinks),
waiter, maintenance, cleaning and round trip transportation.
FRISAS – OPEN BOX
Each open box has 06 seats and they are divided into 4 rows: A, B, C and D, with the letter A, the first, at the level of
the walkway, and the other, successively, a top step and a queue behind. The open boxes are located in front of the
grandstands.
ARQUIBANCADA – GRAND STANDS
From the stands you will have a wide and privileged view of the
whole spectacle. Get ready, because this sector is usually the
most excited Avenue!

Carnival 2016
Overall Information
Street Parties
During the Carnival season many people stay together along the streets and avenues following the traditional street
blocks. The parties are organized by local people and no entrance ticket is necessary.
To have fun is necessary to be patient to face millions of people on the streets with only one goal: dance, drink and
enjoy the best of carnival.
We recommend that you wear soft clothes and do not carry passport and valuable objects with you.
Check with the concierge the best street blocks in town.
Balls
The traditional Carnival Balls are an alternative option for those who want to live an unique experience in Rio. They
usually require more dressy attire and you can show your revelry wearing creative costumes. The city offers a great
selection of balls, the concierge recommend the following:

Visitando o
Cristo Redentor
Uma das sete maravilhas do mundo e a atração mais visitada da cidade. Visite e tire a sua com o Cristo aproveitando
a vista carioca. Existem duas possibilidades para visitá -lo;
Trem do Corcovado:
Tem sua saída do bairro do Cosme Velho; seus ingressos podem ser comprados através da internet:
www.corcovado.com.br; através do quiosque da RioTur (09:00 às 17:00); em frente a rua Hilário de Gouveia, ou
diretamente na Estação Cosme Velho. Seu custo é de R$50,00 e pela internet R$55,00.
Van do Corcovado:
As vans partem em intervalos de 15 minutos da praça do Lido, e da estação de metrô no Largo do Machado seguindo
diretamente para o topo do Corcovado. Seu início é às 08:00 hrs, encerrando às 17:00 h. Os tickets correspondem à
R$51,00 durante a alta temporada e R$41 em baixa temporada.
Durante a alta temporada a espera em suas filas podem ultrapassar 3 horas para a compra de ingressos.
Recomendável levar água, protetor solar, óculos de sol e guarda – chuva.
Visiting the
Christ Redeemer
A Wonder of the World and a fantastic view of Rio de
Janeiro. Come closer and take your picture with the Christ.
Its access can happen in two ways, through the van or the
train;
Corcovado Train:
Leaves from Cosme velho. The tickets can be bought
through the internet (www.corcovado.com.br), at the
RioTur Kiosk (from 9:00am to 5:00pm); in front of Hilário
de Gouveia Street; direct at the Cosme Velho station. The
train ticket costs R$ 50, 00 (local currency), and through
the internet R$55, 00.
Corcovado Van:
The vans departures every 15 minutes from the Lido
Square in Copacabana and from the Subway station of
Largo do Machado directly to the top of the Corcovado’s
mountain; From 08:00 to 05:00 pm. It tickets correspond to
R$ 51, 00 (local currency) during high season and R$41, 00
in lower seasons.

Uma das mais famosas atrações turísticas da cidade, possibilita uma vista incrível da cidade. Seus bondinhos feitos
de vidro permitem acompanhar a vista durante toda a subida.
É possível comprar os ingressos através do site: www.guicheweb.com.br/bondinho; ou diretamente na estação do
Pão de Açúcar. O preço por pessoa é de R$62,00.*
* Crianças menores de 6 anos não pagam; as que possuem entre 6 e 21, na condição de estudantes pagam meia. Idosos
também pagam meia entrada.
Diariamente abre às 08:00 e encerra às 21:00 hrs (compra de ticket apenas até às 19:50).
Visiting the Sugar Loaf
One of the most famous tourist attractions in Rio which provides a fantastic view.
The sugar loaf cable cars all made of glass which permits you to enjoy the view all the way up.
Be aware that you can buy the tickets in advance online through website: www.guicheweb.com.br/bondinho;
you can also buy the tickets directly at the sugar loaf station.
The price per person correspond to R$ 62 per person (Brazilian currency).*
* Children younger than 6 years old do not pay; People from 6 to 21 years old, students (When studying in Brazil)
and elder people pay half entrance, R$31 (Brazilian currency).

Do gol inaugural de Didi, o inventor da folha-seca, em 1950, aos tentos que emocionarão o planeta nos sete
jogos que sediará na Copa do Mundo de 2014, incluindo a grande final, o Maracanã sempre foi templo de

emotions and many joys. The stadium received the largest audience in the history of football (Brazil-Paraguay,
