1 OBJETIVOS
Familiarizar o aluno com os termos que aparecerão na Internet, facilitar a tradução de frases: mensagens de erro ou
mensagens para a utilização do computador. Leitura de manuais e descrição de produtos.
2 CONTEXTO
Na sua opinição o que é contexto?
Qual a importância do contexto para o nosso entendimento?
O que significa a palavra background?
O que é deduzir?
Para o melhor entendimento de um texto em inglês, é necessário seguir três passos importantes.
1º - Contextualizar = descobrir qual é o assunto do texto, de forma geral;
2º - Usar o meu background = associar todo o que eu já conheço sobre esse assunto, seja ter vivenciado, lido, ouvido falar,
assistido na TV, internet, músicas, etc;
3º - Usar a dedução = tirar conclusões sobre os significados das palavras ou expressões, usando todas as “pistas”possíveis,
sejam elas dadas pelo próprio texto ou pelo meu background.
Vamos ler um pequeno texto na língua inglesa. Sua tarefa é traduzir apenas as palavras sublinhadas.
Muito importante: use sua dedução e seus conhecimentos prévios ( background )

A multi-user, multitasking operation system developed by Ken Thompson, Dennis Ritchie, and others and originally
