RESUMO: Sendo fato inconteste que a indústria de bens e serviços se utiliza da arte para “legitimar” seus produtos, a isso
deve ser acrescentada a estratégia que visa agregar ao produto o valor de um singular objeto de arte. Ao estudar a
legitimação do produto quanto ao valor que lhe vem emprestado pela arte, a pertinência do objeto nos remete às escolas
de Administração. Numa sociedade do conhecimento ou pedagógica, como querem Serres, De Masi, Drucker e outros,
o campo do administrador terá realmente se estendido aos limites visados por estes e outros autores? Os conhecimentos
gerais que, somados aos específicos e indispensáveis, fazem do administrador um melhor administrador, já fazem parte
integrante dos programas dos cursos de Administração? O propósito deste trabalho é levantar dados sobre a consciência
e qualificação de profissionais gerentes, demonstradores e vendedores, quanto às representações que catalogam, divulgam
e vendem, e as implicações de prováveis desconhecimentos nesse nível, para os procedimentos de comercialização
utilizados em revendas de produtos do tipo revestimento cerâmico. Pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa com material para
exame se dirige particularmente aos pisos e azulejos de indústrias selecionadas em revendas na cidade de Maringá – PR,
procurando pôr em relevo o conhecimento ou desconhecimento do valor artístico presente nos produtos que se oferece.

ASSETS AND PRODUCTS TAKING ART AS A REFERENTIAL: A CASE STUDY
ABSTRACT: Being an unquestionable fact that the goods and service industries use art to “legitimate” their products, as well as
the strategy of aggregating value to the product as a unique art object. In studying the product’s legitimating in relation to the
value that is borrowed from art, the importance of the object remits to the administration schools. In a knowledge or pedagogic
society, as mentioned by Serres, De Masi, Drucker and others, have the administrators fields really been stretched to the limits
envisaged by these and other authors? Are the general knowledge as well as the indispensable and specific ones, which make
the administrator a better administrator, part of the administration courses? The aim of this work was to collect data about the
conscience and qualification of professional managers, demonstrators and sales representatives in relation to their products’
representations that they catalogue, divulge and sell, as well as the implications of probable lack of information at this level for
the commercialization processes used at ceramic products outlets. A qualitative and quantitative research for exam material
especially directed to floor and wall tiles from selected industries through their outlets in the city of Maringá-PR, attempting at
highlighting the knowledge, or lack of knowledge, about the artistic value attached to the products offered.

O LAZER NO COTIDIANO DA CIDADE

RESUMO: Investigou-se o uso recreativo que as pessoas fazem das ruas em seus momentos de lazer. O estudo de campo
enfocou quatro ruas em Maringá, Paraná. A metodologia envolveu observação direta e sistemática, com anotações em
caderno de campo. Posteriormente, houve registro fotográfico e aplicação de questionários em todas as residências da
área delimitada. O estudo identificou uma ocupação intensiva das ruas como espaço não especializado de lazer, o que
comprova a sua dimensão lúdica. Fatores como faixa etária, trânsito de veículos, horários e temperatura são determinantes
nos usos recreativos. Na constituição histórica da sociedade brasileira, a rua assumiu papel de intermediar o público e o
privado. Apesar da diminuição do uso recreativo, a rua permanece ambiente para o lazer de diferentes faixas etárias.
Nesse sentido, o estudo sugere que as políticas públicas municipais de Maringá direcionem ações nesse tipo de espaço.

LEISURE IN THE CITY’S DAILY LIFE
ABSTRACT: It has been investigated the recreational use that people make of their streets in their leisure time. This field
study focused on four streets in Maringá, Paraná. The methodology involved direct and systematic observation, with notes
being taken on a field notebook. Later on, there was the photographic register and the application of questionnaires in all the
residences in the delimited area. The study identified an intensive occupation of the streets as a non-specialized leisure
space, which demonstrates its playful dimension. Factors such as, age groups, the transit of vehicles, times and temperature
are determining in the recreational uses. In the historical constitution of the Brazilian society, the street has taken the role of
intermediating between the public and the private. Despite the decrease in their recreational use according to those interviewed,
the streets remain the place for leisure of different age groups. In this sense, this study suggests that Maringá’s municipal
public policies should direct their efforts to this type of space.

ATIVIDADES FÍSICAS DE AVENTURA NA NATUREZA: RELAÇÕES ENTRE ESTILO DE VIDA AVENTUREIRO E MODO DE VIDA RURAL PARA A MELHORIA DA QUALIDADE DE VIDA

RESUMO: Esportes e turismo em ambientes rurais e naturais são opções de lazer em ascendência na contemporaneidade
ocidental. Para identificar como as demandas de turismo de aventura e turismo rural se intercambiam, analisou-se perfil de
praticantes de atividades físicas de aventura na natureza (AFAN) em áreas rurais do Paraná. Foram selecionadas quatro
AFAN’s, sendo duas no aérea (asa delta e parapente) e duas terrestres (“mountain bike” e enduro a pé). O estudo revela que,
nas atividades pesquisadas, não predomina o treinamento prévio para a prática das atividades, nem mesmo há hegemonia
de corpos hipertrofiados. Dado o caráter lúdico das atividades, percebe-se que as AFAN’s estão mais próximas ao hedonismo
turístico do que em comparação aos esportes tradicionais urbanos. Nesse sentido, recomenda-se a implantação conjunta
de projetos de turismo rural e AFAN’s voltados à qualidade de vida, num esforço multidisciplinar entre profissionais de
Educação Física e Turismo.

ADVENTURE PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES IN THE WILD: THE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE
ADVENTUROUS LIFE STYLE AND RURAL WAY OF LIFE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
OF LIFE’S QUALITY
ABSTRACT: Sports and tourism in rural environment are options of leisure that are on the increase in the western world
nowadays. To identify how the demands for adventure tourism and rural tourism interchange among themselves, it has been
analyzed the profile of followers of adventure physical activities in the wild (AFAN) in the rural areas of Paraná state. Four
AFAN’s have been selected, two followers of air activities (gliding, parachuting) and two terrestrial ones (mountain bike and
hiking). The study shows that for the activities studied, previous training is not a practice, neither there is the presence of
hypertrophic bodies. Considering then the playful aspect of these activities, it can be noted that the AFAN’s are closer to the
tourist hedonism comparing to those traditional urban sports. Therefore, it has been recommended the implementation of
projects for rural tourism associated to AFAN’s for the bettering of life’s quality, in a multidisciplinary effort among physical
education and tourism professionals.

RESUMO: Fora do âmbito familiar, as instituições asilares constituem a modalidade mais antiga e universal de atendimento ao idoso. No entanto,
essas instituições favorecem o isolamento e a inatividade física e mental da pessoa idosa, acarretando inúmeras conseqüências negativas para a
qualidade de vida. Durante o processo de envelhecimento também ocorrem diversas alterações anatômicas e fisiológicas e que podem afetar as
condições nutricionais dos idosos. Neste trabalho, o principal objetivo foi conhecer a qualidade de vida e o padrão alimentar de idosos institucionalizados
na cidade de Maringá PR. Foram entrevistados 40 idosos, sendo 22 do sexo masculino e 18 do sexo feminino, todas as informações foram
coletadas por meio de entrevistas e preenchimento de questionários contendo perguntas específicas. O dia a dia dos idosos residentes segue
sempre a mesma rotina; Destas a inatividade física, o sedentarismo e a ociosidade fazem parte. Durante a entrevista, os idosos residentes
manifestaram-se satisfeitos com relação ao horário das refeições e à maneira como os alimentos eram servidos, mas insatisfeitos com o tipo de
alimentação e o tipo de preparo oferecido, principalmente com relação ao sabor das refeições. Embora a base para uma alimentação adequada
seja a mesma, deve ser lembrado que cada fase da vida merece cuidados especiais. Assim, a alimentação do idoso deve estar voltada para a
minimização das alterações fisiológicas que ocorrem no organismo. Nos idosos podem ser comuns as alterações do paladar e do olfato, com
redução na percepção dos sabores. Essa redução pode afetar diretamente o prazer de comer e levar ao decréscimo do apetite e conseqüentemente
ao quadro de deficiência nutricional. Na instituição asilar em estudo, pode-se evidenciar grande necessidade da prática de exercícios físicos e
também da reeducação alimentar de idosos residentes, a fim de garantir-lhes maior longevidade e qualidade de vida.

LIFE’S QUALITY AND FEEDING STANDARDS OF INSTITUTIONALIZED ELDERLY IN
THE CITY OF MARINGÁ-PR
ABSTRACT: Outside the family environment, old people’s homes constitute the oldest and most universal way of caring for the elderly. However,
these institutions favor the elderly isolation and physical and mental inactivity, leading to innumerable negative consequences for their life’s. During
the aging process, many anatomical and physiological changes take place that may affect their nutritional conditions. The main objective of this
work has been to identify life’s quality and feeding standards of the institutionalized elderly in the city of Maringá-PR, where 40 old people were
interviewed, 22 being men and 18 women. All information was collected through interviews and the filling of a questionnaire with specific questions.
The daily routine of the residents follow the same pattern, where physical inactivity, sedentarism and idleness are the norm. During the interviews,
the elderly manifested their satisfaction in relation to meal times and the way that the food was served, but showed their dissatisfaction in relation
to the type of food and their preparation, especially concerning taste. Although the base for an adequate feeding is the same, it must be registered
that each life’s stage deserves special care. Therefore, the food for the elderly must be centered on minimizing physiological alterations that occur
in the organism. It is common the alteration of smell and taste in the elderly, with the reduction of in the perception of flavors. This reduction may
directly affect the pleasure of eating and lead to decreased appetite and, consequently, to a situation of nutritional deficiency. In the institution
studied, it was possible to observe a serious necessity for the practice of physical exercises as well as the reeducation of their elderly residents as
to guarantee greater longevity and better life quality.

RESUMO: O artigo visa esclarecer o que vem a ser agente mutagênico, analisando substâncias como a cafeína, aspartame
e sacarina, aditivos alimentares corriqueiramente consumidos pela população. Enfoca, também, as interações destes
compostos com o metabolismo humano, na finalidade de elucidar a população acerca dos possíveis efeitos adversos.
Realizou-se levantamento bibliográfico, por meio de livros e artigos científicos, somando-se a isso, efetuou-se estudo de
campo, onde se aplicou um questionário dirigido ao Curso de Nutrição do Cesumar (1º e 2º anos), para a identificação dos
comensais das substâncias já citadas. A partir dos dados coletados, detectou-se que, dentre os entrevistados, 58,86% não
conhecem o conceito aplicado aos agentes mutagênicos, bem como das interações metabólicas que as substâncias
analisadas possam trazer ao organismo.

ASSESSMENT OF CONSUMPTION OF FOOD CONTAINING ADDITIVES WITH
POSSIBLE MULTIGENETIC PROPERTIES BY THE STUDENTS OF THE NUTRITION
COURSE AT UNIVERSITY CENTER OF MARINGÁ-PR
ABSTRACT: This article aims at clarifying what exactly a multigenetic agent is, analyzing substances such as caffeine,
aspartame and saccharin, food additives normally consumed by the population. It also focuses on the interactions of these
compounds with human metabolism, with the intention of alerting the population about possible adverse effects. A
bibliographical research on books and scientific articles, as well as a field study, through a questionnaire applied designed
by the students of the Nutrition Course at Cesumar (1st and 2nd years), were carried out for the identification of the mentioned
substances eating habits. Based on the data collected, it has been identified that, among the interviewed, 58.86% do not
know the concept applied to multigenetic agents, neither do they know about the metabolic interactions that the analyzed
substances may represent to the body.

RESUMO: Apresenta-se uma auditoria ambiental em duas lavanderias têxteis, para analisar o processo produtivo e seu
impacto ambiental. Em uma fábrica de baterias automotivas, analisam-se seus resíduos, que são ambientalmente nocivos.
Objetiva-se a análise da produção e das instalações, para garantir a qualidade total e ambiental dos seus serviços. Adotouse a metodologia denominada “do berço à cova”, que leva em conta os aspectos ambientais, envolvendo: fontes de
recursos naturais de matérias-primas; método de extração ou obtenção, armazenagem e uso de matérias-primas; previsão
de resíduos na fonte; reaproveitamento de materiais; natureza das embalagens e seu destino; uso do produto e sua
destinação ao final da vida útil. Essas considerações visam à prevenção ambiental da disposição final de resíduos. Para tal,
é necessário aumentar a eficiência da produção, racionalizar os custos de matérias-primas, reduzir os impactos sobre as
fontes naturais renováveis e reduzir os custos para tratamento de efluentes.

DIAGNOSTIC AND CHARACTERIZATION OF SOLID RESIDUES
ABSTRACT: An environmental auditing in two textile laundries is presented to analyse their productive process and their
environmental impact. It has also been analyzed the residues of a factory of automotive batteries, which are harmful to the
environment. This work aims at the analysis of production and installations in order to guarantee total environmental quality
of their services. The methodology adopted called – from the cradle to the grave- takes into consideration environmental
aspects that involves: Sources of natural resources of raw material; prediction of residues at source; reuse of materials; origin
of packaging and their destination, and use of product and its destination at the end of their life time. These considerations
aim at environmental care in relation to residues final destination. Thus, it is necessary to increase production efficiency,
rationalize raw material costs, reduce the impact on renewable natural sources and reduce the costs for the treatment of
effluents.

RESUMO: A arquitetura do pé é baseada na disposição de três arcos imaginários, localizados em estruturas ósseas nele
existentes: o arco anterior, o arco externo ou lateral e o arco interno ou medial ou longitudinal plantar. O arco longitudinal plantar
é de fundamental importância às qualidades do ortostatismo estático e dinâmico. Para que sua característica de convexidade
seja mantida, é necessária a participação osteomioligamentar plena e associada entre si, caso contrário, torna-se responsável
pelo pé plano. Com este trabalho objetivou-se verificar a prevalência de pé plano em indivíduos de diferentes faixas etárias da
cidade de Maringá-PR, bem como alertar para sua prevenção. Para este fim, foram realizados: questionário estruturado aberto
e fechado, e análise da impressão plantar através de um podograma estático. Foram escolhidos aleatoriamente 400 indivíduos de diferentes faixas etárias (de 5 a 91 anos) e de ambos os sexos. Com a metodologia utilizada, verificou-se a presença de
pé plano em 59 indivíduos (14,75%) de diferentes faixas etárias, sendo que em crianças a prevalência foi maior (22%). Com
relação ao sexo e a raça, não houve diferenças estatisticamente significantes.

PREVALENCE STUDY OF FLAT FEET IN INDIVIDUALS OF DIFFERENT AGE
GROUPS IN THE CITY OF MARINGÁ- PR
ABSTRACT: The feet’s architecture is based on the disposition of three imaginary arcs located on its bone structures: the
anterior arc; the external or lateral arc; and the internal or mesial arc (the plant’s longitudinal). The plant’s longitudinal arc is
of fundamental importance for the static and dynamic orthostastism. As to main84tain its convex characteristic it is necessary
the osteomyeligmentar participation both full and associated among themselves, otherwise it becomes responsible for the
flat foot. This work has aimed at verify the prevalence of flat feet in individuals of different age groups in the city of Maringá_PR,
as well as to alert to its prevention. It was, therefore, carried out the following: a structured questionnaire both open and
closed and the analysis of the plant’s prints by a static pedoprogram. Individuals of both sexes and different age groups were
selected randomly (from 5 to 91 years of age). With this methodology it was verified the presence of flat feet in 59 individuals
(14.75%) of different age groups, with greater prevalence among the children (22%). In relation to sex and race, there were
no significant statistical differences.

AVALIAÇÃO DOS OBJETIVOS DO RECOBRIMENTO DAS FERIDAS CIRÚRGICAS
PERIODONTAIS COM CIMENTO CIRÚRGICO

RESUMO: Os autores avaliaram, nesta pesquisa, quais os objetivos do recobrimento das feridas cirúrgicas periodontais
com cimento cirúrgico. O levantamento de dados através de questionário, foi aplicado a uma população de professores
responsáveis pela disciplina de Periodontia de 120 faculdades de Odontologia brasileiras. As questões objetivas, em
número de 6, versaram sobre: 1) O cimento cirúrgico protege a área cirúrgica? 2) Protege a área cirúrgica e promove a
cicatrização? 3) Protege a área cirúrgica e proporciona maior conforto e comodidade ao paciente no pós-operatório? 4)
Protege a área cirúrgica e promove a redução de risco de injúrias? 5) Protege a área cirúrgica e reduz o sangramento? 6)
outro objetivo. Os questionários, respondidos por 72 docentes, tiveram os seus dados coletados e tabulados. Dos resultados obetidos, concluiu-se que os professores responsáveis pela disciplina de Periodontia, quanto aos objetivos do
recobrimento da ferida com a colocação de cimento cirúrgico, têm razões justificáveis para a sua utilização, e que estas
são sedimentadas com base literária ou de procedimentos profissionais rotineiros.

ASSESSMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES FOR THE RECOVERING OF PERIODONTAL
SURGICAL WOUNDS WITH SURGICAL CEMENT
ABSTRACT: In this research, the authors assessed which are the objectives for the recovering of periodontal surgical
wounds with surgical cement. The collection of data was carried out through a questionnaire applied to a population of
teachers responsible for teaching periodontology in 120 dental Brazilian universities. Six objective questions covered the
following points: 1) Does the surgical cement protect the surgical area? 2) Does it protect the surgical area and promotes its
healing? 3) Does it protect the surgical area and supplies greater comfort and commodity to the patient during postoperatory? 4) Does it protect the surgical area and promote the reduction of risks of injuries? 5) Does it protect the surgical
area and reduce bleeding? 6) Others objectives. The questionnaire answered by 72 teachers had their information collected
and tabulated. From the results obtained, it has been concluded that the teachers responsible for periodontology, in relation
to the objective for recovering the wounds with the placement of surgical cement, have justifiable reasons for its use, which
are based on the literature or on their routine professional procedures.
