The Bosch Group, ever since it was founded in Germany
in 1886, has adopted a Policy for Corporate Relationships
with associates and partners based on the solid values
of its founder.
As established in his will, 8% of the capital of the
company has been dedicated to the Bosch family and
the other 92% have been entrusted to a nonprofit
organization, called the Robert Bosch Foundation.
Created in Germany in 1964, it is considered to be
one of the largest private foundations in the world.
Investments by the Foundation include health, medical
research, humanitarian aid, international relationships,
children’s education, cultural and scientific research
areas and projects.

The Robert Bosch Institut
O Grupo Bosch, desde sua fundação na Alemanha, em 1886,
adota uma política empresarial de relacionamento com seus
colaboradores e demais parceiros baseada nos sólidos valores
de seu fundador.
Por decisão testamentária, 8% do capital da empresa são
destinados à família Bosch e os 92% restantes a uma entidade
sem fins lucrativos, a Fundação Robert Bosch, criada na
Alemanha, em 1964, e considerada uma das maiores fundações
privadas do mundo. Seus investimentos contemplam as
áreas de saúde, pesquisa em medicina, ajuda humanitária,
relacionamento internacional, educação de jovens, cultura e
pesquisas científicas.
Atuação no Brasil
Brazilian Activities
Em 1971, foi criada no Brasil a Associação Beneficente Robert
Bosch, transformada no Instituto Robert Bosch em 2004.
Responsável pela gestão das políticas, diretrizes e recursos
dos projetos sociais, ambientais, educativos, de preservação e
formação do patrimônio histórico-cultural e médico-hospitalar, o
Instituto prioriza os projetos focados na melhoria da qualidade
de vida das comunidades.
Entre seus grandes projetos na área médico-hospitalar estão:
Doação de terreno e recursos financeiros para a construção do
Hospital Centro Infantil Boldrini, em Campinas-SP, referência
mundial no atendimento a crianças e adolescentes portadores
de doenças sanguíneas e câncer. Iniciativas voltadas à
manutenção e ao desenvolvimento de novos projetos do
hospital continuam a receber apoio do Instituto.
Já no campo dos investimentos sociais, o Instituto tem
privilegiado projetos comunitários desenvolvidos próximos às
fábricas da Bosch, com foco na educação de crianças e jovens.
Somados ao apoio dado a projetos de entidades do terceiro
setor, os investimentos alcançam mais de 3 milhões de reais
anuais.
As realizações e conquistas do Instituto Robert Bosch
demonstram a sua vocação para ações transformadoras no
campo social. As parcerias estabelecidas ao longo de mais de
três décadas de atuação já garantiram a melhoria da qualidade
de vida de milhares de pessoas.
Among the larger projects in the medical-hospital field are:
• Construction of the Campinas-SP Medical Center
Hospital, in the 1970´s. The Institute supports, even
today, modernization and expansion projects of the
hospital’s facilities..
• Donation of land and financial resources for the
construction of the Boldrini Children’s Center Hospital,
in Campinas-SP, recognized worldwide for treatment
of children and teenagers affected with blood related
diseases and cancer.
Initiatives oriented towards
guaranteeing and developing new projects with
the hospital continue to receive support from the
Institute.
In the area of Social investment, the Institute has focused
on projects in communities in close proximity with the
local Bosch plants, with emphasis on children and
youth education. Adding resources to the support
already provided to projects with other organizations,
investments total more than 3 million reais annually.
The achievements and accomplishments of the Robert
Bosch Institute demonstrate its vocation for truly
transformation action in society. Partnerships
established through more than 3 decades of
activity have already shown success in the
improvement of the quality of life for thousands
of people.

na década de 1970. O Instituto apóia, até hoje, projetos de
modernização e ampliação das instalações do hospital.
In 1971, the Robert Bosch Beneficent Association was
founded in Brazil, being transformed into the Robert
Bosch Institute in 2004. Currently responsible for the
management of the policies, guidelines and resources
necessary for the social, environmental and educational
projects as well as the preservation and creation of
historical, cultural, medical and hospital heritage, the
Institute prioritizes projects focused on the improvement of
the quality of life for local communities.

Aos poucos, ele passou a ser gerido pelas próprias escolas e pela
comunidade, permitindo a criação de novos projetos. O sucesso
do Programa encorajou sua expansão em 2005 para outra
comunidade local, a Vila Barigüi, escolhida pelos colaboradores
voluntários da Bosch.
Em 2008 foi a vez de Campinas • SP implementar o Peça por
Peça, em parceria com a Escola Estadual Professor Carlos
Cristovam Zink, situada na Vila Boa Vista, como amadurecimento
do trabalho iniciado em 2002 sob o nome Só Solidariedade.
Considered the foundation for the Robert Bosch Institute social
development projects, the Piece-by-Piece Program is focused on
planned and continuous education and on the sustainable social
development of the partner communities, where the local public
school becomes the main reference. Step by step. Piece by Piece.
Started back in 2000 in the Vila Verde, in the vicinity of the Bosch
plant in Curitiba-PR, the Program identified the major deficiencies in
the community and from that point on, started to define the most
important areas for action, the necessary resources and the other
groups and institutions that needed to be involved.
Little by little, the Programs activities have begun to be managed
by the local schools themselves and by the community and
new projects are underway. The success of the program has
encouraged its expansion in 2005 to another local community,
the Vila Barigui. This community was chosen especially by the
Bosch Volunteer Associates.
In 2008, the next phases have focused on Campinas-SP as
the Piece-by-Piece program is being implemented through
a partnership with the Professor Carlos Cristovam Zink
Public School, located in the Vila Boa Vista, as the fruit
of work initiated back in 2002 under the name of ‘’Only
Solidarity’’.
Peça por Peça
Considerado base para o desenvolvimento dos projetos sociais
do Instituto Robert Bosch, o Programa Peça por Peça é focado
na educação continuada e planejada e no desenvolvimento social
sustentável de comunidades parceiras, tendo como centro de
referência a escola pública. Passo a passo, Peça por Peça.
Iniciado em 2000 na Vila Verde, nas proximidades da fábrica da
Bosch em Curitiba • PR, o Programa identificou as principais
carências da comunidade e, a partir daí, definiu prioridades,
áreas de ação, recursos necessários e as entidades e instituições
a serem envolvidas.

O Programa Peça por Peça fundamenta-se no relatório Jacques
Delors, de iniciativa da UNESCO, elaborado por uma comissão
internacional de educadores com o objetivo de estabelecer
bases para estratégias educacionais capazes de propiciar vida
digna para todos. O Peça Por Peça ultrapassa os limites do
conhecimento para atuar também na formação de habilidades
e atitudes capazes de valorizar, descobrir e desenvolver
as potencialidades de cada educando, ajudando-o não só a
atuar com êxito no futuro, mas também e, principalmente,
a construir uma sociedade mais produtiva e justa. A partir
do diagnóstico social, e em parceria com o Instituto Robert
Bosch, os professores estruturaram as atividades do Programa
em “peças” que representam as frentes de atuação em prol do
desenvolvimento social.
The Piece-by-Piece Program was founded on the Jacques Delores report, under
UNESCO initiative and prepared by an international commission of teachers with
the objective of establishing the foundation for educational strategies capable
of supporting dignified life for all. The Piece-by-piece Program goes beyond the
simple limits of knowledge and includes activities as well in the development of
skills and attitudes that recognize, discover and develop the potential of each
student. Of course, this helps each individual not only to a better future but
also, and more importantly, to help build a better, more productive and fairer
society. Through the Social Diagnostic and in partnership with the Robert
Bosch Institute, the teachers themselves structure the activities of the Program
in ‘’Pieces’’, where each one represents the different activities that are underway
in the favor of social development.

ABS Program– Bosch Social Action
O Programa ABS - Ação Bosch Social - é dirigido à população
carente da região do bairro Campo Grande, em CampinasSP. Lançado em 2004 com a participação de colaboradores
voluntários da unidade II da Bosch em Campinas, ele oferece
alternativas e condições para o desenvolvimento do jovem,
tornando-o agente transformador de sua própria realidade.

The ABS Program – Bosch Social Action – is oriented to the needy population
in the region of the Campo Grande region in Campinas-SP. Started in 2004
with the participation of volunteer associates from the Bosch Campinas II
plant, this program offers alternatives and support for the development of
teenagers, getting them actively involved in transforming their own reality.
Based on a partnership with public schools in the community, city offices,
social assistance groups and local nonprofit organizations,
ABS is
characterized by cultural, sporting and entertainment activities, tutoring,
computer classes, seminars, job-related skills and employment development
as well as technical orientation and stimulating entrepreneurial spirit.

Feito em parceria com escolas públicas da comunidade,

Preservar a memória significa dar sentido à prática da cidadania.
O Centro de Memória Bosch foi criado em 2003, com o objetivo
de resgatar, organizar, preservar e disponibilizar à comunidade o
patrimônio histórico-cultural da empresa – composto por um singular
acervo de documentos textuais, fotografias, filmes e objetos reunidos
ao longo de mais de 50 anos de presença da Bosch no Brasil.
O Centro de Memória tornou-se um dos principais projetos culturais
mantidos pelo Instituto Robert Bosch, e recebeu, em 2007, o Prêmio
Aberje (Associação Brasileira de Comunicação Empresarial) na
categoria Memória Empresarial e Responsabilidade Histórica. A partir
desse mesmo ano, parte do seu acervo foi disponibilizada para consulta
por meio de um banco de dados acessado pelo endereço eletrônico
Preserving the memory means giving meaning to the practice of
citizenship. The Bosch memory center was created in 2003, with the
objective of recovering, organizing, preserving and making information
about the Bosch historical-cultural heritage available to the community.
In the same collection it is possible to find documents, photographs, films
and objects that have been collected over the past 50 years, during the
Bosch corporate presence in Brazil.
The Memory Center has quickly become one of the principal cultural
projects developed by the Robert Bosch Institute and in 2007 it received
the Aberje Prize (Brasilian Association for Corporate Communication)
