Brief Description of Program:
Aim of the project was to give technical support to the local Government in
implementing the program “Ribeira Azul” to scale up a previous pilot project “Novos
Alagados”, an urban upgrading project in the slum of Novos Alagados. 130.000
people benefited from activities realized under this program. The program included
activities of urban upgrading, social and economic development and capacity
building of local institutions.

Aim of the project is to improve the technical skills of disadvantaged youth through
the expansion of the Youth Training Center; To strength the productivity and
management capacity of three youth cooperatives in Fishing; To improve the
professional skills of youth with disabilities to enhance their engagement in
productive activities.
