COURSE INTRODUCTION
CURSO DE APRESENTAÇÃO
Hello, welcome to Spur Idiomas. We would like to take a moment to
explain to you a little more about the classes you are about to
begin. The video classes are split into 3 modules: Beginner,
Intermediate and Advanced. Each module is composed of 3
levels. Once you subscribe to a level you will advance through the
classes by submitting a test at the end of each class. Once you have
successfully completed the test, you will gain access to the next class
in that level. Once you have advanced to a class you will have
unlimited access to that class and all previously completed classes
within that level for the duration of your one month subscription.
Olá, bem-vindo ao Spur Idiomas. Gostaríamos de ter um momento para
explicar-lhe um pouco mais sobre as classes que você está prestes a
começar. As aulas de vídeo são divididas em 3 módulos: Básico,
Intermediário e Avançado. Cada módulo é composto por 3 níveis. Uma vez
que você se inscriver em um nível que você deverá avançar através das
aulas até chegar a um teste no final de cada classe. Depois de ter
concluído com êxito o teste, você terá acesso para a próxima aula do nível
matriculado. Depois de ter avançado para a próxima aula, você terá
acesso ilimitado a essa aula e todas as aulas anteriormente concluídas
dentro do nível matriculado com duração de um mês.
Each video class will begin with a short story comprised of a few
short paragraphs. The story will help to introduce new words and
concepts to be learned. Following the story there will be some
vocabulary introduced as well as practice sentences using more of
the words and concepts learned in the lesson. Each presentation
will be read by a native English speaker with the text
accompanying. This will give the viewer the opportunity to hear the
spoken language while following along with the written words. The
lessons are presented leaving long pauses between each sentence in
order for the student to absorb the material as well as try to repeat
what was said. Listen carefully as the speaker reads, then try to
read back during the pause given. If you are having trouble at any
certain point you can pause the presentation and go back. At the
beginning you may need more time than what is given. That's okay
and normal for a beginner. Practice and repetition is the key to
success. In between each class there will be a Practice Test
comprised of 10 multiple choice questions designed to gauge your
understanding of the material in the class just completed. This test
should give you an idea if you need to review the class again or if
you're ready to move on to the next class. There will also be a link
to an email to put you in contact with a monitor should you have a
question.
Cada aula de vídeo vai começar com uma pequena história composta de
alguns parágrafos curtos. A história vai ajudar a introduzir novas palavras
e conceitos a serem aprendidos. Seguindo a história haverá apresentação
de vocabulário, bem como frases para praticar usando as palavras e
conceitos aprendidos na aula ainda mais. Cada apresentação será lida por
um falante nativo em inglês com o respectivo texto. Isto dará ao
espectador a oportunidade de ouvir a língua falada e seguí-lo junto com
as palavras escritas. As lições são apresentadas deixando longas pausas
entre cada sentença para que o aluno absorva o material, bem como
repetir o que foi dito. Ouça com atenção como o falante nativo lê, em
seguida, durante a pausa dada, tente ler. Se você está tiver problemas em
qualquer determinado ponto você pode fazer uma pausa na apresentação
e/ou voltar. No início, você poderá precisar de mais tempo do que o que é
dado. Isso é normal e aceitável para um iniciante. Prática e repetição é a
chave para o sucesso. Entre cada aula, haverá um teste prático composto
por 10 perguntas de escolha múltipla destinadas a avaliar a sua
compreensão do material da classe que acabou de concluir. Este teste
deve dar-lhe uma idéia se você precisa rever a classe novamente ou se
você está pronto para passar para a próxima aula. Haverá também um link
para o e-mail a fim colocá-lo em contato com um monitor se você tiver
alguma pergunta.
For those who may wish to have more practice or more direct
contact with the language, there will be live online classes available
for purchase on the site for an additional cost. Each class will allow
a maximum of 5 students and will be taught by native Brazilian
English teachers in order to better explain differences between
