A finales de los años 80, SENER decidió participar en el desarrollo
y explotación de nuevas iniciativas industriales basadas en
tecnologías y procesos propios. En la actualidad el Grupo reúne
tres grandes áreas: Ingeniería & Construcción, Aeronáutica, y
por último, Energía & Medio Ambiente.
At the end of the eighties, SENER decided to participate in the
development and operation of new industrial initiatives based
on their own processes and technologies. Currently the Group
is committed to three large areas: Engineering & Construction,
Aeronautics, and lastly, Energy & Environment.
Hoy, el Grupo SENER cuenta con más de 5.500 profesionales y
una facturación superior a mil millones de euros.
Today, the Group has more than 5,500 professionals and a
turnover of more than one billion Euros.

En Infraestructuras y Transporte,
SENER dispone de una amplia
experiencia en ferrocarriles, sistemas
de transporte urbano, aeropuertos,
carreteras, puertos e infraestructuras
marítimas, obras hidráulicas y
medio ambiente, arquitectura y
planificación urbana.
En Energía y Procesos, SENER es
responsable de ciclos combinados,
plantas de cogeneración, nucleares
o termosolares, terminales de
regasificación, refino, petroquímica y
plásticos, y centrales de tratamiento
de residuos urbanos, agrícolas o
industriales.
En el sector Naval, hay dos grandes

Spanish industrial company producing aeronautical engines
and gas turbines, started by SENER in 1986, being SENER at
present its major shareholder.

In Power and Process, SENER is
responsible for combined cycles,
cogeneration, nuclear or solar
thermal plants, liquefied natural gas,
refining, petrochemicals and plastics
terminals, and treatment units of
municipal, agricultural and industrial
waste.

In the Marine sector, there are
two important lines of business:
professional marine engineering
services and FORAN, a worldwide
reference program for computer
design and marine construction.

SENER participa, junto con la británica Rolls-Royce, en Industria
de Turbopropulsores, S.A. (ITP), única industria española
de motores aeronáuticos y turbinas de gas, cuyo nacimiento
impulsó SENER en 1986 y donde es accionista mayoritario.
In addition, it takes part in outstanding civil aviation programs
and European defense consortiums (EUROJET, EUROPROP,
MTRI) in which it has leading partners such as Rolls-Royce, GE,
P&W, Snecma and Honeywell.
En Energía & Medio Ambiente, SENER promueve proyectos de energías renovables, reciclaje y
valorización energética de residuos, en los que
además participa accionarialmente.
A lo largo de algo más de una década, se han
generado nuevas empresas como Zabalgarbi,
Tracjusa, Valpuren Comatur, Valpuren Bañuelo
y Torresol Energy. Esta última tiene como objetivo
impulsar el desarrollo tecnológico, la construcción,
la operación y el mantenimiento de grandes plantas solares por concentración en todo el mundo.
Todas las inversiones de SENER en esta área se
fundamentan en nuevos procesos propios.
In the Energy & Environment area, SENER has
promoted projects for renewable, recyclable
energies and energy valuation of waste, in which
it also has stock options.
Entre sus actividades principales se encuentran la ingeniería,
investigación y desarrollo, fabricación, ensamblaje y pruebas
de motores aeronáuticos y turbinas de gas, así como el
mantenimiento de motores.
Throughout more than a decade, new companies
have been created such as Zabalgarbi, Tracjusa,
Valpuren Comatur, Valpuren Bañuelo and
Torresol Energy. In this latter has the objective
of promoting technological development,
construction, operation and maintenance of large
solar concentration plants around the world.
