Este trilho e uma pequena rota com uma extensao de 1,5 km que tem como objectivo
principal, dar a conhecer um pouco da historia e do patrimonio arquitetonico da vila de
Pedrogao Grande.

Esta rota inicia-se junto esta~ao arqueologica da Devesa (see. II d.C. I see. IVIV) que se
encontra localizada na zona urbana de Pedrogao Grande, ao cimo do Largo da Devesa,
junto a Capela do Calvario. Esta esta~ao assume extraordinaria importancia nao so a nivel
local, com tambem regional, pois nao sao conhecidos no concelho nem na regiao vestigios
da epoca romana.
Ao longo deste percurso pode contactar com vanos monumentos de grande valor
patrimonial e arquitetonico. como e 0 caso da Igreja Matriz (Monumento Nacional) e do
Pelourinho, da Igreja da Misericordia e do Museu de Arte Sacra (Monumento de Interesse
Publico) e aTorre do Relogio.

This trail is a short route with a length of 1.5 kilometers
that has as main objective to make known some of the
history and architectural heritage of the village of
Pedrogao Grande.
This route starts near the archaeological station of
Devesa (2nd century AC I 4'",5th century) which is located
in the urban area of Pedrogao Grande, on the top of the
Largo da Devesa, next to the Calvary Chapel. This station
is extremely important not only locally but regional as
well, as they are not known in the county or the region
remains of Roman times.

The main church, a national monument, is a grand
temple in the Romanesque style, dating the 17·
century. The church repeats the pattern of mendicant
churches with its wood coverage and vaulted chancel,
double-deck central nave, with direct lighting; the main
fa,ade with an outstanding bell tower, attached to the
axis of the nave is divided into floors, adopting a
solution present in some forms of Manueline churchtower fa,ade.
