OPTIMUS LIVE ACT ENTERS ITS FINAL PHASE AND
DECIDES ON THE NEXT ARTISTS TO PERFORM AT
OPTIMUS ALIVE’12
• Álvaro Covões and Artur Peixoto (Everything is New), Henrique Amaro (Optimus Discos),
Nuno Luz (Rádio Comercial) and Carlão “Pacman” will rate the artists’ performances;
• The final will take place on the 28th of June and will be a real musical marathon for those
seeking the chance to perform at Optimus Alive’12;

On the 28 of June starting at 18.00, the Santiago Alquimista bar will welcome the final phase of the Optimus
Live Act competition, the goal of which is to give the chance to talented Portuguese DJs and bands to perform
at the Optimus Alive’12 - the Biggest Arts and Music Event.
To rate the performances of the artists, the jury made up of Álvaro Covões and Artur Peixoto (Everything is
New), Henrique Amaro (Optimus Discos), Nuno Luz (Rádio Comercial) and Carlão “Pacman” will be there at
the venue to decide which bands and DJs will have the privilege of playing at the festival.
To date, there have been more than 120 thousand visits to the Facebook competition page and more than
250 artists who have entered the competition, but only 30 reached the final phase with the chance of
convincing the jury of their musical talent.
By the end of the day on the 28th of June, the 19 finalists will have been chosen. The final winner, in addition
to performing on the Optimus Clubbing stage, will have the opportunity to record a digital EP on the
Optimus Discos label. The other 18 finalists will perform on the 4th Optimus Alive stage, the entrance portico
to the festival.
Those chosen will be announced live by the jury and later published on Optimus’ Facebook and at
http://liveact.optimus.pt.

Optimus Alive’12 takes place on the 13th, 14th and 15 of July on the Passeio Marítimo (Sea Promenade) in
Algés.
