Government funded program that aims to provide outstanding technical and managerial experience for twelve
students from different engineering areas, through technological projects and academic research. Within it, students
perform technical activities under the guidance of a PhD teacher, with emphasis on teamwork and self-development.
All projects developed by the group seek to apply concepts learned in class, generating innovative solutions for its
partners.
Main Activities:
– Group leader for one semester; responsible for organizing and executing the annual Strategic Planning and
responsible for monitoring and improving the group performance based on indicators;
– Project manager for one semester; responsible for controlling and monitoring all the projects of the group
by applying management tools (portfolio of 10 to 14 projects);
– Financial manager for one semester;
– Coordinator of the "1st Entrepreneur Circuit": An entrepreneurship event for the students of the
Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina comprised of three days of lectures presented by mentors, investors
and founders of enterprises, business model competition and a workshop with pitch presentations;
– Planning and executing engineering projects in a variety of engineering areas such as Mobile Apps,
Control, Database, Data adquisition and Web Development;
– Development a personal project in order to build a miniature car (1:10 scale) controlled by Android
Smartphones and Tablets.
Results:
– Six technical projects successfully completed;
– Assistant in the course "VBA for Microsoft Excel" performed two times for engineering students;
– More than 12 oral technical/non-technical presentations;
– Over 20 study visits to renowned companies and interviews with successful Directors and Entrepreneurs.

Auto Racing team created and managed by students at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, with the goal of
designing and constructing off-road race vehicles for SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) competitions.
Main Activities:
– Development of electronic system to controlling the voltage that is sent to the headlights;
– Improve the distribution of whips in the prototype in order to make it more lightweight;

– Knowledge of Automotive Engineering;
– Experience in working under pressure;
– Further knowledge of the use of workshop tools and other engineering practical aspects.

– First and second place in Regional Championship 2012 organised by SAE Brasil.
