IRG161
The thermometer is a non-contact infrared
thermometer. There are many mathematical modes
for the infrared function. Please don’t use it for
safety-related applications.
O termômetro é tipo infravermelho sem contato. Há
vários modos matemáticos para a função do
infravermelho. Não utilize em aplicações
relacionadas à segurança.

Simply aim the thermometer at the measure target
with Lens (7) and press Meas. key (6) to display the
surface temperature. The Distance: Spot is 16:1.
Please make sure the target area is within the field
of view.
Simplesmente aponte a lente (7) do termômetro
para o alvo de medição e pressione a tecla Medir (6)
para exibir a temperatura da superfície. O
coeficiente de distância: 16:1. Verifique se a área
alvo está dentro do campo de visão.

FUNCTION
Press Mode key (4) for scrolling more display functions as
follows.
FUNÇÃO
Pressione a tecla Modo (4) para acessar mais funções na

Here will show the emissivity data. (The default emissivity
is 0.95.)
Press Mode key (4) , then press Up key (2) or Down key
(3) to set the emissivity, then press Mode key (4) to confirm
it. The emissivity can be changed from 0.10 (10E) to 1
(100E).
Aqui serão exibidos os dados de emissividade. (A
emissividade padrão é 0,95).
Pressione a tecla Modo (4) e pressione a tecla Aumentar
(2) ou a tecla Diminuir (3) para ajustar a emissividade e,
em seguida, pressione a tecla Modo (4) para confirmar. A

Press Mode key (4) for the Maximum (MAX), Minimum
(MIN), Difference between MAX and MIN (DIF) and
Average (AVG) modes. During the measurement, the
special modes reading will be displayed beside the mode
icon.
Pressione a tecla Modo (4) para acessar os modos
Máximo (MAX), Mínimo (MIN), Diferença entre MAX e MIN
(DIF) e Média (AVG). Durante a medição, a leitura dos

Press Up key (2) or Down key (3) to change the High
Alarm (HAL) or Lo Alarm (LAL), then press Meas. key (6)
to confirm it. For example: When the reading 26.9 °C < LAL
27 °C, the Low icon will flash and you will hear a beep
sound.
Pressione a tecla Aumentar (2) ou a tecla Diminuir (3) para
alterar o Alarme alto (HAL) ou Alarme baixo (LAL) e, em
seguida, pressione a tecla Medir (6) para confirmar. Por
exemplo: quando a leitura 26,9 °C < LAL 27 °C, o ícone
Baixo (Low) piscará e haverá o som de um bipe.
Connect the thermocouple with Thermocouple socket (5)
and put the probe in/on the target, the thermometer will
display the temperature automatically without pressing any
button. To see the minimum or maximum data during the
probe measurement, please hold down the Up key (2) or
Down key (3).
Conecte o termopar com o Soquete de termopar (5) e
coloque o sensor dentro/sobre o alvo. O termômetro
exibirá a temperatura automaticamente sem pressionar
nenhum botão. Para ver os dados mínimos ou máximos
durante a medição com o sensor, mantenha pressionada a

** The thermometer will automatically shut off if left idle for
more than 60 sec, unless in PRB mode. (In PRB mode, it
will shut off if left idle for more than 12 minutes.)

modo PRB. (No modo PRB, ele desligará automaticamente

Press Up key (2) for LOCK mode ON/OFF. The lock mode
is particularly useful for continuous monitoring of
temperatures for up to 60 minutes.
Press Down key (3) for °C or °F transferred.
In all modes: First hold on the Meas. key (6)
and press Up key (2) for backlight function ON/OFF.

To avoid electric shock and thermometer damage,
do not measure live circuit where voltage exceeds
24V AC RMS or 60V DC with the thermocouple
probe.
Para evitar choque elétrico e danos ao termômetro,
não meça circuitos ativos em que a tensão excede
24 V CA RMS ou 60 V CC com o sensor do
termopar.
Storage & Cleaning. The thermometer should be stored at
room temperature between -20 to +65 °C (-4~149 °F). The
sensor lens is the most delicate part of the thermometer.
The lens should be kept clean at all times. Care should be
taken when cleaning the lens to use only a soft cloth or
cotton swab with water or medical alcohol. Allow the lens to
fully dry before using the thermometer. Do not submerge
any part of the thermometer.
Armazenamento e limpeza. O termômetro deve ser
armazenado em temperatura ambiente entre -20 e +65 °C
(-4~149 °F). A lente do sensor é a peça mais delicada do
termômetro. A lente deve ser mantida sempre limpa. Ao
limpar a lente, deve-se tomar o cuidado de usar apenas
um pano macio ou uma haste com chumaço de algodão,
com água ou álcool medicinal. Deixe a lente secar
completamente antes de usar o termômetro. Não submerja
nenhuma parte do termômetro.
LCD ERROR MESSAGES. The thermometer incorporates
visual diagnostic messages as follows:
‘Hi’ or ‘Lo’ is displayed when the temperature being
measured is outside of the settings of HAL and LAL.
‘Er2’ is displayed when the thermometer is exposed to
rapid changes in the ambient temperature. ‘Er3’ is
displayed when the ambient temperature exceeds 0 °C (32
°F) or +50 °C (122 °F). The thermometer should be allowed
plenty of time (minimum 30 minutes) to stabilize to the
working/room temperature.
For any other error messages (5–9), it is necessary to reset
the thermometer. To reset it, turn the instrument off,
remove the battery and wait for a minimum of one minute.
Reinsert the battery and turn on. If the error message
remains, please contact the Service Department for further
assistance.

incorpora as seguintes mensagens visuais de diagnóstico:
É exibido ‘Hi’ (Alta) ou ‘Lo’ (Baixa) quando a temperatura
medida estiver fora das configurações de HAL e LAL.
‘Er2’ é exibido quando o termômetro é exposto a
mudanças rápidas na temperatura ambiente. ‘Er3’ é
exibido quando a temperatura ambiente excede 0 °C (32
°F) ou +50 °C (122 °F). Deve-se permitir que o termômetro
tenha tempo suficiente (no mínimo 30 minutos) para se
estabilizar à temperatura de trabalho/ambiente.
Para qualquer outra mensagem de erro (5 a 9) é
necessário redefinir o termômetro. Para redefini-lo,
desligue o instrumento, remova a bateria e espere no
mínimo um minuto. Reinstale as baterias e ligue. Se a
mensagem de erro permanecer, entre em contato com o
Departamento de Serviços para obter assistência
adicional.

BATTERIES. The thermometer incorporates visual low
battery indication as follows:
‘Battery OK’: measurements are possible
‘Battery Low’: battery needs to be replaced, measurements
are still possible
‘Battery Exhausted’: measurements are not possible
When the ‘Low Battery’ icon indicates the battery is low,
the battery should be replaced immediately with AAA, 1.5V
batteries. Please note: It is important to turn the instrument
off before replacing the battery, otherwise the thermometer
may malfunction. Dispose of used battery promptly.
BATERIAS. O termômetro incorpora as seguintes
