AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT
OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL AND THE
GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATIVE
REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL ON COOPERATION IN
THE FIELD OF AGRICULTURE
The Government of the State of Israel and the
Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil
(hereinafter referred to as "the Parties"), recognizing
the importance of the agricultural and food sectors
of both countries, and within their spheres of
competence, agree to develop, promote and expand
agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

O Governo da República Federativa do Brasil
O Governo do Estado de Israel
(doravante denominados de "as Partes"),
Reconhecendo a importancia dos setores agropecuarios e alimenticios de ambos
os países, e dentro de suas esferas de competencia, concordam em desenvolver, promover e
expandir a cooperacáo agropecuaria entre os dois países.

The Parties agree to:

(a) Join efforts, in order to contribute to the
achievement of national and institutional goals
of agricultural development.
(b) Promote exchange of technical and scientific
knowledge, for the benefit of the agricultural
sectors in both countries, as well as the exchange
of data on agricultural policies and their
implementation.
(c) Encourage cooperation between the respective
associations and organizations from the
agricultural sector in both countries

Article 2

The cooperation will include, inter alia:

(a) Training and extension in agriculture.

(b) Technology transfer.
(c) Exchange of scientific and agricultural
technology information.

A s Partes concordam em:
a) unir esforcps de maneira a contribuir paTa a consecugáo de objetivos nacionais
e institucionais de desenvolvimento agropecuario;
b) promover o intercambio de conherimento técnico e científico para o beneficio
dos setores agropecuarios era ambos os países, bem como o intercambio de
dados sobre políticas agrícolas e sua implementacáo,
c) estimular a cooperacáo entre as respectivas associacóes e organizacóes do
setor agropecuario em ambos os países.
Artigo 2

A cooperacáo incluirá, ínter alia:
a) treinamento e extensáo em agropecuaria;
b) transferencia de tecnología;
c) intercambio de informacáo científica e de tecnología em agropecuaria;

Article 3

The Parties shall share their knowledge in the field
of agriculture through exchange of data about their
agrarian law, statistics and any other matters of
mutual interest.

Article 4

The Parties shall encourage the exchange of
information about their regulations, concerning plant
and animal products, including those related to the
phytosanitary and veterinary services.

técnicas e tecnologías pós-colheita;

h) promoçâo de pequeñas

A s Partes compartilharáo seu conhecimento no campo agropecuario por meio do
intercambio de dados sobre suas legislacóes agrarias, estatísticas e quaisquer outros assuntos de

A s Partes estimularáo o intercambio de informacóes sobre seus regulamentos que
dizem respeito a produtos vegetáis e animáis, incluindo aqueles relativos aos servícos
fitossanitários e veterinarios.

The Parties will jointly organize symposia and
seminars on farming and agricultural topics.

Article 6

The financing of activities shall be mutually agreed
upon.

The exchange of experts and know-how will be part
of the implementation of this Agreement.

Article 8

This Agreement may be amended at any time by the
mutual agreement between the Parties, and shall
enter into force with the same procedures specified
in Article 9.

A s Partes organizaráo conjuntamente simposios e seminarios sobre producto e
tópicos agropecuarios.
Artigo 6

O financiamento de atividades será mutuamente acordado.
Artigo 7

O intercambio de peritos e know-how fará parte da implementacáo deste Acordó.
Artigo 8

Este Acordó poderá ser emendado a qualquer momento por meio de entendimento
,entre as Partes, c a emenda entrará em vigor com os mesmos procedimentos especificados no
Artigo 9 .

Article 9
9 ‫סעיף‬
1. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date
of the latter of the Diplomatic Notes by which the
Parties notify each other that their respective internal
legal requirements for the entering into force of the
Agreement have been complied with.
2. This Agreement shall remain in force for an
unlimited period of time. However, either Party may
terminate it at any time by giving notice of
termination to the other Party, in writing through the
diplomatic channels. In that case this Agreement
shall be terminated upon the expiry of six month
from the date of notification of termination.

3. The termination of this Agreement shall not
affect any programmes undertaken prior to the
termination of this Agreement, unless otherwise
agreed to by the Parties.

Este Acordó entrará em vigor na data do recebimento da segunda notificacáo em
:que as Partes comuniquem uma á outra, mediante Notas Diplomáticas, que seus respectivos
?requisitos legáis para a entrada em vigor do Acordó tenham sido cumpridos.

Este Acordó permanecerá em vigor por período ilimitado de tempo. Entretanto,
qualquer Parte poderá denunciá‫־‬lo a qualquer momento, por meio de notificacáo da denuncia á
;,'outra Parte, por escrito, por intermedio dos cañáis diplomáticos. Nesse caso, o término da
;'validade ocorrerá seis (6) meses após a data de notificacáo á outra Parte.

A denuncia deste Acordó nao afetará quaisquer programas
• anteriormente, a menos que seja acordado pelas Partes.

Done at Brasilia on the 4 day of December, 2007,
which corresponds to the 24 day of Kislev 5768, in
two original copies, in Hebrew, Portuguese and
English languages, all texts being equally authentic.
In case of divergence of interpretation, the English
text shall prevail.
