5/11/2012 The implementation of an electronic document of the Braden Scale to assess the risk of developing pressure ulcer among hospitalized patients Objective The aim of this study is to verify if the computerized version of the Braden Scale helps improve the assessment of the risk of developing pressure ulcers in the first 24 hours of hospitalization. Methods • We compared the results before and after using computerized data collection to verify the efficiency of the instrument through the t-test. This initiative has had an impact to improve the high risk patient care . The computerized version helps to ensure a secure record and a more agile patient care. 1
