1847 Real Companhia Vinicola Vinho do Porto Garrafeira There was a late harvest in the Douro Valley in 1847. Great vintage, Broadbent wrote in his Great Vintage Wines book about the 1847 vintage: "Unequivocally the greatest vintage of the period". This Vinho do Porto Garrafeira was bottled in 1853, and rebottled and labeled in 1963, when the Real Companhia Vinicola do Norte de Portugal was bought by the Real Companhia Velha. "Semi-sweet, toffee, nutty, dense, long and intense with almost Madeira-like tones. Really good and vital, from a brilliant year. 4,5/5 points" (Anders Källberg, Vinarskallen wineblog) 75 cl 1450.00 € For ordering this bottle, please write to [email protected] Download our full stocklist at www.antiquewinesandspirits.com
