11.1 Information on toxicological effects
As the substance is practically non-toxic, it does not need to be classified for acute toxic effects.
As sulphanilic acid is excreted very fast mainly via the urine, it has no potential for bioaccumulation.
Furthermore, sulphanilic acid most likely penetrates the skin only poorly, arising from its very polar nature
and the very low log Pow. Consequently, skin absorption will be low.
The Sulphanilic acid may cause an allergic reaction in contact with skin. Sulphanilic acid is eye irritating.
