Advertisement for two Doctoral Scholarships from the Caixa Geral de Depósitos/ Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Universidade de Lisboa – 2015 An international application for two Doctoral Scholarships (BD) is open for candidates who wish to undertake research work leading to the academic degree of Doctor in the Instituto Superior de Agronomia in Engenharia Agronómica, Engenharia dos Biossistemas, Engenharia do Ambiente, Engenharia Alimentar, Biologia or Arquitetura Paisagista. The grants will start in September 2015. Eligible applicants Applicants must have cumulatively: - A Master´s degree or equivalent (pre- or post-Bolonha) or a 5-year graduate diploma with scientific or professional experience; - Classification over 14 (out of 20) obtained by weighted average of the classifications obtained in the Bachelor or 5-year graduate diploma and Master’s degrees or in the 5-year graduate diploma. Selection method Selection will be made in two phases with the following criteria: 1st phase: curricular evaluation A. Quality of the academic path B. Work plan C. Research experience (e.g. publications, contracts or grants in research projects, organization/participation in congresses or other scientific meetings), and/or Professional career (e.g. work in public or private institutions or non-governmental organizations relevant for the thesis theme) D. Hosting and supervising conditions Each criteria will be classified from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5, and a first step score (C1) with be attributed by an average with the following weights: A: 35%, B: 35%, C: 20%, D: 10%. A ranked list of the 4 candidates with the best C1 classification will be prepared to proceed to the 2nd phase of selection. 2nd phase: interview A classification from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5 (C2) will be given as a result of an interview. The final score (CF) combines the first and second step scores with the following weights: C1 70%, C2 30%.
