Renova Energia SA (RNEW11) ("Company") the first company dedicated to renewable energy generation listed on
the BM&FBOVESPA S.A. - Securities, Commodities and Futures, informs its shareholders and the market in general
that today the National Electric Energy Agency ("ANEEL") published in the Diário Oficial da União,
acknowledgment of the fact that the 14 wind farms of the Company that sold energy in the second 2009 reserve
energy auction are fully prepared to start operations.
The wind farms of Alvorada, Candiba, Guanambi, Guirapá, Igaporã, Ilhéus, Licinio de Almeida, Nossa Senhora da
Conceição, Pajeú do Vento, Pindaí, Planaltina, Porto Seguro, Rio Verde and Serra do Salto form the largest wind
farm complex in Latin America, denominated Alto Sertão I. The installed capacity of the 14 wind farms is of 294.4
MW, of which, 127 MW of sold energy. The acknowledgment considers that the above mentioned wind farms are
fully prepared to start operations. Upon receipt of the acknowledgment, the CCEE (Electric Energy
Commercialization Chamber) is authorized to disburse the amount due to the Company under the terms of the
reserve energy contracts, celebrated between October 26 and December 6, 2010 between CCEE and the Special
Purpose Vehicles established as Independent Electric Energy Producers.

Renova Energia S.A. (RNEW11) is a company generating energy from alternative sources with a focus on wind farms and small hydroelectric power plants
(SHPs). Renova is currently the sole company dedicated to alternative energy in Brazil to have its shares listed on the BM&FBOVESPA. The Company is

669 MW of installed capacity in the regulated market environment as a result of the reserve auctions for 2009 and 2010 and the 2011 A-3 auction, the
company’s capacity being generated from the largest wind farm complex in Brazil and located in the semi-arid region of the state of Bahia. The Company also
has the benefit of a commitment to purchase a further 400 MW of installed wind energy capacity on the part of free market clients.
