Preface
This is the seventh issue of the Research Report produced annually by the Secção
de Matemática of the Departamento de Ciências e Tecnologia of the Universidade Aberta. As stated in the previous Research Reports, our goal in producing
this document is to enhance the visibility of the research activities of the members of this Secção among our colleagues in the University and our peers in the
portuguese and international research communities. This year the Secção continued the monthly research seminar series titled ”Matemática na AbERTA”, to
which several members of the Secção have already contributed. The number of
members of the Secção decreased to 12, presently all of them are PhD holders.
