PLURIATIVIDADE, AGROINDÚSTRIA E AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR:
UM ESTUDO DE CASO

Resumo
Este trabalho teve como objetivo estudar a influência da renda gerada por uma
pequena agroindústria familiar associativa de pequeno porte, sobre a composição da renda
(agrícola e não-agrícola) de suas famílias associadas. Trata-se de um estudo de caso com
uma agroindústria de transformação de cana-de-açúcar que possui seis famílias associadas e
está situada no município de Capanema-PR. As informações foram coletadas em
entrevistas, atendendo à questões sobre o trabalho interno e externo à unidade de produção.
Constatou-se que a agroindústria absorveu a força de trabalho diária de duas pessoas por
família, modificando a rotina de trabalho das propriedades, e se tornou a atividade principal
destas famílias, ficando em segundo plano a produção primária na composição total da
renda familiar. Constatou-se ainda, que as rendas não agrícolas (agroindústria, pensões e
aposentadorias), são responsáveis em média por 54,15% do total da renda familiar, e que a
agroindústria ocupa 78,75% do tempo diário de trabalho e restando apenas 21,25% do
tempo das famílias para o desenvolvimento das demais atividades agrícolas da propriedade,
isto se considerarmos 10 horas/dia o tempo de trabalho médio das famílias rurais.

PLURIACTIVITY, AGRIBUSINESS AND FAMILY AGRICULTURE: A
STUDY OF CASE
Abstract
This work had as objective to study the influence of the income generated by a small
associative family agribusiness of small load on the composition of the income (agricultural
and no-agricultural) of their associated families. It is a case study with an agribusiness of
transformation of sugarcane that possesses six associated families and it is placed in the
municipal district of Capanema-PR. The information were collected in interviews, assisting
to subjects on the internal and external work to the unit of production. It was verified that
the agribusiness absorbed the two people's daily workforce for family, modifying the
routine of work of the properties, and it became the main activity of these families, being in
second plan the primary production in the total composition of the family income. It was
still verified, that the non agricultural incomes (agribusiness, pensions and retirements), are
responsible on average for 54,15% of the total of the family income, and that the
agribusiness occupies 78,75% of the daily time of work and remaining only 21,25% of the
time of the families for the development of the other agricultural activities of the property,
this if we consider 10 hours/day the time of medium work of the rural families.
