Mr. Al-Contar’s practice is focused upon the structuring of national and
international lending and financial transactions, as well as concerning capital
markets operations and mergers and acquisitions matters.
His experience also includes the analysis of banking and foreign exchange
regulation and foreign investment and client counseling and representation in
corporate and banking litigation. Mr. Al-Contar has participated in arbitration and
litigation involving corporate agreements, complex securities structures, and also
extrajudicial liquidation and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Al-Contar assists the firm as well in its representation of clients in
administrative proceedings before the Central Bank of Brazil, the Brazilian
Securities Commission – CVM and the Appeals Council of the National Financial
System.
He was a participant in the Visiting Professional Programme of the International
Criminal Court – ICC.
Mr. Al-Contar holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Fundação Getúlio
Vargas - SP. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
