The international panel chosen for the evaluation of the IDPASC-Portugal Doctoral Program fellowships met in the
Laboratório de lnstrumentaçáo ê Física Experimental de Partículas (LlP) in Lisbon on thê 16[/2015 ât 2:30 pm. The
Íirst session ended at 8:00 pm and the panel met again on lhe 171712015 at 9:00 am to close the evaluation procedure at
í:00 pm. The panel members Francisco del Aguila, Enrique Zas, José Valle, Marcella Diemoz, João Alves, Andreas
Glindemann and Jorge Crispim Romão (President) were presenl in both sessions. Kostas Kokkotas was not present in
Lisbon but connected via skypê in the two days of the meeting.
The panel reviewed all the 37 applications prêsent to this call. The procedure Íollowed what was adverlised in thê teÍms
of the call. Each application was evaluated according to the following three criteria, in a scale from 'l (minimum) to 5
(maximum)
- Merit of thê candidate (weight 5)
- Work Plan (weight 3)
- Merit of the Supervisor/lnstitution (weight 2)
Each candidate was evaluated by two different members of the panêl and during the meeting the whole panêl discussed
each application until a grade was agrêed by consensus. Candidates citizens from thiÍd States, and not having a
residence peÍmit in Portugal, were interviewed individually according to the Regulamento de Bolsas dê lnvêstigaçáo
Científica da FCT, lP. (Chapter lll, Section l, Article 14., n' 'l d). The summary oÍ these interviews was presented to the
panel during the discussion.
The quality of the applications to this call was excellent with 14 applications scoÍing 4.15 or above. The panel
recommends that six fellowships should be awarded. The panel also rêcommends that the applications with a final
grade above orequal to4.15maybê consideÍed to be awarded in case of availability.
The IDPASC-Portugal administration should ask for the appropriate documents to confirm the grades stated as obtainêd
or expected.
