Main scientific interests:
My traditional research areas concern the study of the level sets of Ginzburg-Landau energies (and of
the corresponding Euler-Lagrange equations) and that of symmetry and monotonicity of elliptic partial
differential equations on manifolds.
Mathematical biology has progressively become my main research subject. My work in this area is mostly
relative to the mathematical modeling of actin cable contraction in morphogenesis and wound-healing.
More recently, I became interested in the mathematical study of bacterial population dynamics and
movement and in tumor growth models.

• Coordinator of the ACI NIM Momatsouti: Modélisation mathématique de la soudure tissulaire (20032007).
• Coordinator of the ANR Project REGENR: Mathematical and Physical Modeling of Regenerative
Repair (2011-2014).
• Organizer of the Mathematics in Biology and Medecine seminar of the LJLL, UPMC (since 2013).
• Person in charge of the Mathématiques Appliquées aux Sciences Biologiques et Biomédicales Master 2
program of UPMC (since 2013).
• Member of the scientific committee of the Interfaces Pour le Vivant doctoral program (UPMC).
• Member of the Interdisciplinary Committee 51 (Modélisation et analyse des données et des systèmes
biologiques : approches informatiques, mathématiques et physiques) of the Comité National de la
Recherche Scientifique since 2013.
