Unit 1
A unidade 1 da apostila apresenta
revisão de alguns conteúdos
trabalhados na 5ª série. Deles,
vamos nos focar em 3 deles:
 Can e can’t
 Presente progressivo
 Presente simples
Então, vamos lá?
Can e can’t

Usamos o can para dizer que
sabemos fazer alguma coisa, que
temos habilidade de fazer isso. Por
sua vez, usamos o can`t quando nao
sabemos, não temos a habilidade.
I CAN SPEAK ENGLISH BUT I CAN’T
SPEAK JAPANESE.
(Eu sei falar inglês mas não sei falar japonês)
Quando escrevemos uma frase com o
can ou can’t, o verbo vem logo em
seguida na sua forma base, SEM “S”
e SEM -ING
Observe:

She can play chess. (CORRETO!!!)

She can plays chess. (ERRADO!!!)
She can playing chess. (ERRADO!!!)

Presente Progressivo

Usamos o Presente Progressivo
para falarmos de uma ação que
acontece no momento da fala,
que está em progresso. Dessa
forma, o presente progressivo
sempre falará de algo que
ESTÁ ACONTECENDO.
I am workING
(Eu estou trabalhando)
Então, vamos a sua formação:

verb + ING
Entenderam??
Sempre vamos ter o verbo “to
be” (am, is, are) e um verbo
com ING. É esse ING que
corresponde ao “-ando, -endo, indo” do português.
Eating – comENDO
Traveling – viajANDO
Sleeping – dormINGO
E quando vamos fazer uma
pergunta, apenas uma pequena
mudança, observe:
You are singing. (afirmando) (você está
cantando)
Are you singing? (perguntando) (você está
cantando?)
Percebeu? A única alteraçao é que
invertemos o verbo (am-is-are) com
o sujeito, ou seja, ele sempre vai
estar na frente do sujeito (I-youhe…) nas perguntas!!
Presente Simples
Usamos o presente simples
para falarmos de coisas que são
fatos e as rotinas.

I live in Guarapuava (Eu moro em
Guarapuava)

She works at Belém (Ela trabalha no Belém)
Mas vamos dividir em 2 grupos
