International Lunch - Israel
In February we celebrated Israel with a very special lunch. Our Israeli students had lunch with their family and the recipes were a huge
success among the kids! Israeli cuisine incorporates availability of foods common to the Mediterranean region, especially certain kinds
of fruits and vegetables, dairy products and fish, the distinctive traditional dishes prepared at holiday times, the tradition of keeping
kosher, and food customs specific to Shabbat and different Jewish holidays! It was a great lunch!
“The International Lunch was composed of a simple and very typical Israeli food, liked by
almost everyone in our country. This type of food is usually consumed at the outside, and is
considered affordable and available to all the layers of the population.
We think that this is exactly what’s special about it; whenever you will find yourself passing
by a Kiosk selling this kind of food, you will be able to see rich people alongside mediumclass ones and even poor people, eating this type of food together!!!
My family and I want to thank Esfera for the opportunity to sit together and taste again
Israel’s flavors. It has been a while for us since the last time :-)
