“The Rope” it’s a short film that was conceived in November 2011 by
e
the designer Luis Caracinha. Luis will adapt to screenplay the poem “A
menina enquanto sorria” (The girl as she smiled), written in 2009 by the
poet Tiago Marcos, and will direct the short film. In the result of Luis
p
Caracinha and Tiago Marcos working together on various projects, “The

Rope” was born with the formation of a multidisciplinary team that

embraced the project and put it in motion in February this year. This film

aims to provide the viewer a moment of reflection about the ephemeral
life, remembrance beetles that refresh our memories. A drama that we
e
intend to recreate in about 15 minutes but for which we need your help.

“The Rope” joins together a very young team of new professionals,
between 18 and 25 years old, and new business companies. For many of
us, and for the small business companies involved, it is a huge opportunity
to develop an author work which can be presented at an European scale.

We want to show once again that Portugal is not a country asleep on the
edge of Europe and has a great potential both on a creative and cultural
levels. To invest on us is also being supportive to a cause that is extremely
important, it is the fight against cancer that unfortunatelly afects
a
hundreds of people annually in our country and around the world.
