The Institution
• The Institute for International Trade Law and
Development is a non-profit organization created
to conduct research and participate in the debate
on International Trade and Development issues.

• Academics (University Professors, PhD and
Masters Students and undergraduate students).
• Lawyers, Economists and Political Scientists.
• Research groups gather around 15 researchers
with scholarships and around 30 university
students enrolled in research groups.
• We work very closely to the University of São
Paulo.

What we study
• Four main research lines:
– Study group on Trade Negotiations in Services
(TNS);
– Study group on Intelectual Property (IP);
– Study group on Dispute Settlement in the WTO
(DSB);
– Study group on Law and Poverty in Brazil (L&P).
