The program
The 5-day program has been developed in
close co-operation with Saint Paul Escola
de Negócios to focus on topics that are of
high relevance for executives from Brazil:
How do German companies succeed to become and
remain world leaders in technology
A deep dive into strategies of German technology companies
to remain competitive despite low-cost rivals from emerging
economies.
What are the secrets of Hidden Champions?
German small and medium-sized enterprises pursue a decisive
internationalization strategy and succeed against manufacturing
giants with high-tech solutions and flexibility. High-level inputs
will be complemented by a site visit at a Berlin Hidden Champion.
How can a culture of innovation be
implemented in organizations?
Berlin has become one of the major European hubs for startups
and founders. ESMT hosts the German Tech Entrepreneurship
Center (GTEC). Participants will learn about open innovation,
experience first-hand co-working spaces, discuss with founders,
and learn new methods of customer-centric innovation in a
hands-on workshop.
How will the future of industrial production look like?
Participants will get first-hand insights about the German strategy
to implement the Internet of Things, and visit one of the most
advanced car manufacturing plants in the world.
How to do business in Germany
The German Chamber of Commerce will provide useful information
on specificities of the German economic, political and legal
system. Participants will also get insights on the German system
of corporate governance by the head of the Berlin Centre for
Corporate Governance.
How to manage errors and crises
Mistakes are unavoidable. Yet, in most organizations, it is
rare for them to be thoroughly examined. Prof. Dr. Jan Hagen,
internationally renowned expert in error management, shows
participants methods toward a modern working environment in
which mistakes serve as learning opportunities and corrections
are applied as soon as errors become apparent.
