Nietzsche’s considerations on the Enlightenment

Abstract: In this study we investigated the considerations of Nietzsche on the
Enlightenment. First, showing how the intermediate texts found a lower incidence of
critical, with highest praise to the movement, especially embodied in the figure of Voltaire.
After showing how the ripening period there is a shift to a radically more critical position
which makes it appropriate for representatives of postmodernity. Thus contradicting the
postmodern appropriation of Nietzsche emphasizes that his anti-Enlightenment character,
we present an alternative reading of the philosopher that allows us to value the
Enlightenment character of his philosophy.
