In May 2010 in Mexico City, the International Council of the World Social Forum
renewed the Liaison Group retaining 10 members of the former LG and adding 4 new
ones, forming the body of the following14 members:

All members assigned to the LG 2010 - 2012 have committed themselves to the
mandate and terms of reference discussed and approved at the plenary session of the IC
(Mexico, 2010). Our main task, according to the document approved, is to facilitate the
work of the IC, the relationship between IC and commissions / working groups, and

facilitate and implement the decisions of the IC. We commit ourselves to these goals
and working conditions collectively discussed. Among them, a commitment to active
involvement and participation in activities and meetings of the IC and LG.
It is not the intention here to produce a ranking table with the participation of each
member, but to reinforce the need for permanent renewed commitment to each other to
work as a collective, because each absence leads to potential loss of work designated by
the IC and undermines the process of construction, expansion and mobilization of WSF
in
general.
It would be desirable that each member could respond to this letter setting out the
possibilities of work, in which the IC commission you are is involved in, the last IC task
in which you were involved, if you will be present in the next IC and LG meeting and
suggestions for the next year till the LG renewal in 2012.
