Researcher in IPMA since 1990. Head of Nutrition Laboratory since 1999.
Main Scientific Area of Research
Lipid biochemistry. Benefits of ω3 fatty acids in health. Biotechnology applied to microalgae utilization in
fisheries and aquaculture.
Supervising experience
15 high-degree students in lipid biochemistry area.10 master degree study in nutritional quality of fish products.
3 PhD student in production of biomolecules (fatty acids, sterols, vitamins, carotenoids).
