Marco Antônio holds a B.Sc. degree in Geology (1977) from the Federal University of
Ceará and M.Sc. (1995)and Doctoral (1999) degrees from the Federal University of
Pernambuco. His major interest is on mineralogy, igneous petrology and geochemistry.
Currently, he is an associate professor at the Federal University of Piauí.
