J OSUÉ C HRISTIANO G OMES DA S ILVA , P RESIDENT (B RAZIL ) Josué Gomes is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Companhia de Tecidos Norte de Minas – Coteminas, the Latin America’s largest textile group and a leading bed and bath home fashion product company, with manufacturing facilities in several countries in the American continent. He is a founder and Chairman of the Board of Cantagalo General Grains S.A., a Board Member of Embraer and of Petrobrás. Josué is also CoChair of the Brazil – United States CEOs Forum; board member of the Instituto de Estudos para o Desenvolvimento Industrial - IEDI and was the President of this Institute from 2005 through 2009; member of the Strategic Committee of the Conselho de Empresários da América Latina – CEAL, and Vice President of the Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo – FIESP. Josué Gomes was the President of Associação Brasileira da Indústria Têxtil e de Confecção - ABIT from 2005 through 2007. He is President of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation – ITMF; a member of the Owen School Corporate Council of the Vanderbilt University; and a member of the Board of visitors of the Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo Octavio Frias de Oliveira - ICESP. Josué has a graduate degree in civil engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a law degree from Faculdade Milton Campos. He has a master’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University, USA, where he received the Founder’s Medal in recognition for his academic achievement.
